Ravu

I mean, statistically Ravu is worse since they only won 1 Reward challenge compared to Ulong's 3 Rewards. That being said though, Ravu at the very least has the excuse of being a tribe with NOTHING vs a tribe with the best shelter in Survivor history, 3 sets of fishing gear, and all the amenities. Ulong didn't really have that excuse.

It’s hard to argue that Ravu is worse in my mind, simply because the winner came from that tribe. Yes, Earl was switched over, but he was still original Ravu. Foa Foa, Matzing, and Ravu are all in that boat, so while the numbers look bad for all 4 of these tribes, Ulong is the only one without a winner.

Luzon won an immunity challenge. I personally think Matsing is the third worst.

Yeah. Sylvia was done dirty. That always bugged me. Like, who helped build the shelter the most? Person gets pointed out. Then great, person shall now join the screwed tribe. Always hated that.

This is a bit of a problem with alot of survivor seasons. one tribe wins once, gets a good meal or much needed supplies, and then they keep winning, because surpise the well rested, well fed people are going to perform better mentally and physically than the people sleeping on rocks and eating sometimes not even cooked rice.

They're all dehydrated and starving lol no one screwed them, they screwed themselves, such a bad tribe lol

They voted out the only smart one. Pretty much America in 2023.

It’s OG survivor most people are dehydrated starving and sleepless… that’s literally a major factor in most the original seasons 🤦🏽‍♀️

They were lucky during the tribe swap, had they stayed in Ravu, Tau Man would have been voted out pre-merge and Earl one of the early boots after merge.

So, if you were "smart enough" tribe wouldn't you vote out toxic member of your team asap? Ravu got screwed by producers from beginning but their voting made their team even weaker.

You can't say for certain Ravu is statistically the worst tribe in history when you have Matsing. Matsing didn't win 💩.

They were given two free players off of exile and a tribe swap that had the numbers evened up three times. Ulong was given nothing.

I cut Ravu all the slack in the world since they were completely screwed just by the premise of the season. I’ll never understand why the producers decided to make an intentionally unfair season.

@@OnceUponAnIsland I guess but the lack of supplies, and considering that Moto was living the good life, and Ravu had next to nothing, kind of cuts them a little slack

​@@OnceUponAnIsland But Koror wasn't given a lavish shelter at the start of the game and all kinds of other goodies. Moto actually chose to go to Tribal Council rather than give up their shelter, which tells you what a huge advantage it was.

And one of those players was Lisi - who was worthless and wanting to quit even before Exile Island and being on the Ravu beach. Two free players vs. Fully built shelter, food, fire, water, coffee, sleeping gear, fishing gear? So a tribe of relatively well fed, watered, and rested people who had to expend a lot less energy because all the biggest tasks were already done on a daily basis v. a tribe forced to drink coconuts for hydration until Day 7 while building a shelter competing in physical and mental challenges - with each reward challenge expanding the disparity. Heck - when given the opportunity to dump one of their own players or swap camps, Moto chose to vote out one of their own - so the extra player wasn't a big deal to them. Lisi basically quit the game after only a week at Ravu or Exile. Ulong was at least on relatively equal footing to the people beating them - while Ravu was in a no-win situation. I'm pretty confident that if you had swapped camp (Ravu being the "haves" and Moto being the "have nots") - the challenge results would have been virtually the same - and this plays out after the player swaps and the "superpower" tribe still being terrible. It wasn't the tribe.

I disagree - or at least have to put a huge asterisk next that that statement. Ulong was on relatively equal footing with their opponents and lost - while Ravu was living in drastically different circumstances. Moto started the game with the best shelter ever, food, sleeping mats, fishing gear, plenty of water - they have had coffee while Ravu didn't even start with Fire or Water and were surviving on raw coconuts for hydration. Then every reward challenge - the disparity got worse. I mean - take any athlete and starve them, dehydrate them, and sleep deprive them for a few days and they will most lose to an equally matched opponent - then multiply that by a few weeks? What did the producers think was going to happen?

No disrespect to the women of Ravu, but Yao Man was beast and master at living off the land. I'm sure he was doing a lot that wasn't show - which you couple with the tons of stuff they did show. He was integral to the tribe.

@@fenix6297 no worries. I never watched the show. Was Yao Man in the video? I don’t remember the names of the people. I’m actually in the camp of “I’m pretty sure it’s completely scripted show”. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but from someone of the comments I’ve read others are positive it was not rigged. I dunno.

It is literally illegal for them to script anything since Survivor falls under game show rules. Plus they have had 600+ players and not one has said it is in any way scripted.

@NekoGrace 79 I'd have to watch again to see how much Yao Man was in the video. But he was a super cool contestant, beloved by most. This is honestly one of my least favorite Survivor seasons - just really frustrating to watch- which is ironic since Earl and Yao are two of my favorite players of all time. Few winners earned it as much as Earl did.
