Excellent video! Im 40 and i still love bbw. I mostly buy candles now but i do love it and japanese cherry blossom is not good😂

I do buy more candles than I used to vs. body fragrance there but I still find body ones I like there as well. I find the aromatherapy scents are good to wear at night or on weekends or to work when you know you are not going to have a great day lol.

Great video! My favorite scent was country chic. It got discontinued of course. But they sold them in stackables so you can have your body wash, perfume and lotion all sitting together. It was to die for when I was 12. Now that stuff gives me headaches and I know it’s really toxic for the body so I stay away haha. I use Pacifica perfume now.

OMG she's back!!! Congrats on your engagement XOXO Excited to watch this 🤩 I definitely used to make B&BW a regular stop when I went to the mall when I was younger. BTW my favorite scent was "Fresh clean linen" or something like that. I would keep a bottle of anything with me just to smell it lol

Loved this video! I learned a lot and it brought back so many memories! I started working at one right as they were changing from heartland to the apothecary era. I was so confused and so were the customers because we were in a temp space in the mall that made the brand look so cheap for a few months while they remodeled the new store. The new store was beautiful when it opened even though it was super bright. It was cool to help set it up and I always loved when we had floor changes for new seasons and product launches, I basically worked for product and also loved the soundtracks they had playing 💗🌸

Love your vanity background :p It was hilarious how much crap would get stuck to them, so we only ended up with a tiny window to see our faces in. But how could we see anything when the only lighting was christmas lights and a lava lamp?

I know I shopped for fragrance/lotion/body wash combos at Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret and The Body Shop in the mid to late 90's. I guess I had a lot of scents because I also had designer perfumes I wore as well. I have continued to buy but mostly from B&BW and I'm 44 now. I did and do get candles from them. I recall VS changing what they offered a bit more to things I like less. Some of the B&BW scents I used to wear are gone but I always find something I like and some are still available. I feel like The Body Shop changed the least maybe but I could be wrong since our mall didn't have one but the closest one was about 45 minutes away at a larger mall. They still have the things I wore but they also seem to have more or different options as well. I still like many scents B&BW come out with and ones they have had but I am certain being an adult had a lot to do why the last time I got things from B&BW were all aromatherapy stress relief and sleep aid scents not ones to wear out or to work. I have worn them to work though. They can be helpful...

I’m 54 and absolutely loved Bath & Body Works in the early 2000’s. The biggest issue for me was the rise of fragrance-free workplaces. I get it; fruit scents are fine but there are certain scents (florals in particular) that give me raging headaches. Other people can’t be around scents at all, so policies were implemented and I just got out of the habit of buying scented products. Now I work from home and will buy scented lotions, but my usual fruit-scented brands are available at Fred Meyer and Target, so I don’t have any need to go to the mall. I miss BBW sometimes, though…

Odd I realized they had modernized but I didn't realize how much the look had changed. I guess I just kind of flowed with all the updates over the years. I do remember they used to have a lot of choices to begin with but they definitely have become more crowded with products. I couldn't miss that and it is also always crowded as hell. I do shop usually only when they have sales which is fairly easy since they have them so often. I will buy some things online if I know I already like the scent of so I can avoid the crowds and clutter.

It’s been 17 years since bath and body works sold this sea salt body scrub that smelled like Abercrombie cologne but made your skin feel so soft. I still look for it, I still desire that random brand they sold in like 2006 😩😭

i think i remember that!! that was a popular fragrance category back then, a “beachy” scent. i bet there are some dupes out there!! ☺️

@@solamenteskin1788 yes it was so good!! I always look for dupes but haven’t found the combination of body scrub/long lasting cologne/ and velvet skin finish. I wish bath and body works had a secondary company that only sold scents and products from the past. I feel like they could make a comeback 🙂

You probably have my favorite voice on KZfaq plus you use visual elements in surprising and witty ways - truly unique! I tend to listen more than watch but need to keep a close eye on the visual entertainment value you craft so carefully. I’ve ignored Bath and Body for so long, I wasn’t sure I’d connect with this video. I was wrong - this video is for everyone! A fascinating history. Had your thumbnail included the images of plumeria and cucumber melon, I probably would have watched sooner. Those really sparked my long forgotten memories. I now realize I abandoned the store around when they abandoned poor Kate. It was the switch to those pointless fragrance names that definitely pushed me away. I’ll have to go back to your commentary, weren’t the names like Sunset Whispers and Rainbow Breeze? What I’m trying to say is, you’re an excellent creator, congratulations on your engagement, and thank you!

Your content is impressively researched. I loved Warm Vanilla Sugar back in the day. I got away from their fragrances but, have religiously used their antibacterial hand sanitizer since the late 90's. I'm a bit if a germophobe. I do admit I buy almost all of the Hot Cocoa and Cream products during the holidays. A good chocolate fragrance is hard to come by. Congrats on your engagement!

You can get the country Apple wall flowers and travel sizes online sometimes. You just have to type it in the search bar. I got like 20 wall flowers over Christmas last year 😂

The confusion was real. When I was a kid in the late '90s, I distinctly remember thinking B&B was B&BW, as I tried to make a return for a product from B&BW to B&B.
