Hello friends!
Time for a Bonne Bell review! Today we are talking about Bonne Bell Cosmetics & Lip Smacker! Let’s take a deep dive into the company history and some of their most beloved beauty products over the years. We start with the original TEN O SIX skincare routine system, the popular spf lip gloss SERIOUS SKI LIPSTICK, and discuss what shaped the company over the course of the century. We will also talk about how Bonne Bell/Lip Smackers marketing campaigns held up those of both legacy beauty companies (Maybelline, L'Oreal) and newer companies like Milk and Glossier (feat. Olivia Rodrigo - Bad Idea Right?? jk!) I personally got very nostalgic rediscovering all the Bonne Bell lip gloss from the 1990s/2000’s, but please let me know if I missed any of your favorites, I would LOVE to hear from you!!

I’m 42 and was obsessed with bonne belle in middle school and high school. The shimmering lipgloss was my jam I would change flavors for different boyfriends. I miss the peach!

Bonne Bell was the bomb! I had sooooo many Lip Smackers! So annoyed I got rid of them! I’m almost 36 and still collect now and then. I have a box with some amazing retro gems still in packaging. Some of the cosmic ones, jewel tops etc. The smell is so nostalgic when I open the box. I remember having other really cool Bonne Bell lip products like the the flip gloss in green apple 🍏 & milkshakes etc. Those sour ones tasted so good! Ah I’d give anything to go back 😫🩷✨

Kiwi is still my all time favorite scent. I use to collect them, like ALOT. On the in’s test messages on aol n had a pen pal through there magazine!!!! And this just grew into present day 20 years later 😮❤ lip product collection/ makeup/ well kinda beauty products in general 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉lol

yes thats the perfect age group for bonne bell. i love how bonne bell/lip smackers didnt pressure preteen girls to grow up, but rather enjoy girlhood!

me too!!! i honestly dont feel like any brand has been able to replicate the spirit of bonne bell/lip smacker. maybe thats not a bad thing but we will always have the wonderful memories!!

I remember the Dr.Pepper Lip Smackers lip balm. I was a teenager so I couldn’t wear lipstick quite yet, so LipSmackers was my go to.

The Bonne Bell skin musk was the absolute best! 90's version. A new manufacturer makes skin musk and its not the same.

I actually never knew that lip smackers were that old! 😮😂 The teenager in me is missing the dr.pepper lip balm now! I still don't understand how I didn't hear about them taking them away! 😢 I still have the container of some of them from lip smackers tin can I bought a few years ago 😂 I had the flip lip balm too! 😂 & Ya, why did the sour ones taste good!?! I only knew about that one because of my cousin. She also had one that had different kind of color swirls in it! Is there really not another brand that is doing what bonnebell did, other than lip smackers!? Nostalgia is crazyyyy & great way to advertise! Glad to have found you through your Jessica Simpson video! 👍💖

yes i thought lip smackers was an exclusively millennial experience but i was sooo wrong!! its been a part of teen's lives for many generations, which makes it more sad that its gone! i felt a lot of nostalgia making this and the jessica simpson video, and i'm so glad u enjoyed both!!

Omg, the Bonne Bell Vanilla Frosting lipgloss was THE BEST back in 2001!!! Could you possibly do a video on Coty brand?! I think Coty started with perfumes in the 1800s but their Coty Airspun face powder was HUGE back when I was a 12 yr old, around 1984! Lol, I'm showing my age! I think the face powder is still at stores! Now I wanna go buy it!!

I FORGOT ABOUT THE LIP FLIP! Smackers were like a status symbol in junior high. The more you had, the more fucking sickening you were. I'll never forget this one I had called "moon rocks" it was literally gray, sparkly, and tasted like dust but GIRL I was wearing that shit every damn day.

lip smackers was such an important part of our preteen experience!! for a lot of us it was the only makeup we could get away with wearing. the lip flip was iconic but i am not remembering the moon rocks right now so i need to check that out!! hoping i did not leave one of the best products our of my video!! 😂❤️

just letting you know,,,, it's pronounced like "Bonnie" even though it's spelled Bonne. I lived roughly 3 miles down the road from the company's headquarters in Lakewood. Believe it or not,, the company headquarters were "Charming" they looked like something out of Williamsburg or Nantucket !!!! I used to stop in and and ask if I could meet Bonne,,, and this was waaaay back when I was about 18 ??? but she was "always out of the office" later I learned that it was the father who was head of the company!!! This was waaaaay before the Internet. so you couldn't do any quick research on "what's really going on." Bonne Bell "White-white" was the very first makeup purchase I ever bought, and with my own money.... It was a small white tube of rich white cream. you put it under your eyes to take out the dark circles and it also brought out the blue in my eyes. I am 65 and I still use some form of white eye cream today.

Hey, there! I live in Ontario, Canada and yes, BonneBell Lip Smackers are still on shelves here in drugstores. After reading the comments of people missing these little beauties, I'll never take them for granted again, lol. My go-to is raspberry. I love their Funkopop style releases too with tops that look like Hello Kitty, Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas, etc. @solamenteskin1788 would you consider making a video on your favourite clean and cruelty-free beauty? 🐭🐰 And/or perhaps doing a deeper dive into beauty labels like Ecocert, Leaping Bunny & PETA certification, what they mean and if they are legit or just a marketing tool? I do. No one talks about the brand at all any more. Nothing to get excited about. Markswin doesn’t put out new products and any flavors are the same with new names- not to leave out reading the reviews of costumer service is awful. I used to get hyped for holidays to see what collections Bonne Bell / Lip Smackers would release. I wanted to share the love with my daughter. Sadly- it’s just a memory.
