Back out in my current favourite gully metal detecting with the Minelab Equinox 800 and the trusty six inch coil. The only way to bash through this scrub. No room for even an 11 inch, but some great finds make it all worth while.

I started detecting for the fun of the finds, not the treasures of gold and silver, and over time I found finds like that toy airplane you just found , or that toy train Mish found or a 50 year old toy metal match box hover craft I found stand out as Real Treasures to me....(it must be the kid in us), another great video Andrew and Viv , please keep them coming .

Gday Dawn. There is a pile of stuff still down in the gully. As to what is it made of??? If it is the plane, it’s lead. If it’s the three pence, it’s silver And if it’s the Chinese coin, it’s bronze. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

Wow! talk about variety! a bit of a history museum patch me thinks! I doubt I would have seen the leaves amongst the leaves with that broach, what a corker of a find! great lead plane too, and then the red eye, Isnt there something about planes and taking the red eye? Oh! and a sudden realization for me when you found the train wheels, I found one a couple of days ago, and didnt know it till then, mine had a rusted shaft with a smaller drive cog on it, would that sound right to you, of course I made up my own possible explanation of what I thought it might be, but I wont get into that, Thanks for a great hunt CBK, as usual I enjoyed every minute of it, Cheers Mate!

Gday Wayne. The cog on the wheel sounds right as it was probably the drive wheel. The broach was hard to see until I realised what I was looking at. Lead toys are cool at the best of times. Glad you are enjoying watching the shows mate. Take care cobber 👍😁

The whole gully is pretty light on for silvers. Not like somewhere else we know😉. Plane was cool. Got some good toys out of this place. Hope you are well. Take care mate 👍😁

Like the plane, 1930s - possibly a Bristol Blenheim(get some string and hang it from the ceiling, used to do) - certainly a good area to find decent relics.! Good coins - Chinese coin/threepence(come up well with a bit of cleaning); and amusement tokens - arcade in the early days, nearby?

Howdy Andrew, You sure did a great job straightening out that cool lead aeroplanes wings. I wonder if you could do the same with the headless machine gunners droopy Vickers.When I first started metal detecting five or six years ago I found a nice toy helicopter. I had dug out most of the body of the thing when I started wiggling it back and forth and pulling on it. I wound up snapping off the tail. It was a bummer but it did teach me to be more careful when extracting my finds. I know you didn't bend the aeroplane wings but it reminded me of the helicopter when it popped out of the ground. Anyway, cool hunt, nice finds and a really neat place. Thanks for sharing it. You and Viv have a great week. Your buddy - Roelf

Gday Roelf. I figured with the thickness of the wing it would straighten out but I didn’t touch its bent wheels or rear stablizers. Figured they would break. Same with the barrel of the machine gun. Too thick. Reckon it would snap. Sometimes you just have to leave a thing as it is otherwise it ends up in pieces and tears. Thanks for watching mate. Hope you and Mrs Roelf are well. Nice hunt Andrew, your down in the dumps and yet you don’t sound down in the dumps 😆 ………don’t you hate those sneaky washers when they pop up like that pretending to be a coin 🤣🤣 I think , and I may be wrong , that the heavy cap is a grease cap off an old stationary engine or machinery of some sort ?? They were filled with grease and screwed down thus forcing the grease in , then some bright spark invented the grease nipple 🙃😁

I think I was nearly as surprised as you with that leafy brooch being so well disguised! The little plane is a beauty, and the Sunbeams badge too. If I EVER find a Chinese coin, I'll have learnt a bit from your vids on how to read and date them! Thanks for another great one 😀
