This video won't make a great deal of sense unless you watch my overview video first: • The Ultimate Primer On... And you can watch my analysis of the previous film in the series here: • How to Improve JURASSI...

What do you think of the structure of Chef. It has all the beats, but after the first half, it doesn’t have the typical “things get worse” for the protagonist. How does a movie where things perpetually get better to culminating in a “victory” in the end, rather than the tension buildup. A lot different than the National Lampoon Vacation trip kovie

Good suggestion - I haven't seen Chef (it got taken off Netflix here before I watched it), but I'd be curious to give it a shot!

I still think it's better than the first one. That one was truly soulless, and Bayona is much better filmmaker than Colin Trevorow (or however you spell it).

Like I say, everything good in this movie comes from Bayona. I don't think it's MUCH worse than the previous one, but it is extra frustrating when you get two bad movies in a row (three now, lol).
