That guitar absolutely isn't above your playing. (although I can't say I've ever particularly loved the old Fender single coil hum...I have one of the old Fender '57 Strat reissues that I bought sometime in the mid '90s, and I love that guitar, even though I hate the pickup hum) Your channel is one of the best on KZfaq. And of course, Marr is incredible. One of the two or three most original and imaginative players of that time. (and he's still great, obviously)

Michael... Lovely comment. Thanks for your encouragement. There are some really impressive channel out there; they make me feel admiration for them, but also insecurity at the same time. I'm so damn low-tech, and my playing is bumpy, to put it mildly. I'll keep at it though; one of my mid-life crisis indoor hobbies. Marr is indeed a glorious guitarist. I agree with you about him. Yes, the hum... A real bummer. I've done a few things to minimize it; two different hum reducers running--one on my multi-pedal, and one at the wall plug-in on the AC30. Need one for the '74 Bassman too... Ah well, they're pricey. Take good care. ;-)

Great work again! I've spent the last couple of weeks going through each riff, trying to build up the tempo, but to the point where I've basically made up a 12" remix of the song! God knows how long it took Marr to be able to play it clean.

No kidding... A true work of art, like so many others of his/theirs. Would love to hear/see your version. ;-)
