me too...but he's really gotta stop saying "right.." at the end of every sentence he speaks...

That's an unconscious habit. Sorry, I'll try to be more aware next time. That, and mouth smacking...

That SG was sold a year ago and parlayed into an immaculate 1961 Lambretta LI 150 scooter... Sad to see the guitar go, but the guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Hey Modfather, been following your videos for a long time, love them! What are you using in terms of amp and pedals? Also knowing your amp settings would be great! Many thanks! Keep rocking!
@modfather19657 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott... As far as pedals go, I have yet to really venture far away from my Boss ME-50 multi-effects pedal. It combines many high quality effects into one place and seems to get the job done. Playing through two amps is key--an AC30 and a Roland Jazz Chorus in my case--to getting a richer, fuller sound. The setting on the amps themselves are really nothing exotic... Top end on the AC30, and the bright channel on the Roland.

Can you please do a tutorial on Well I Wonder? I would greatly appreciate it . I don’t see many tutorials on that song.
@modfather19656 жыл бұрын
That's a lovely song I don't yet know. Great bass line too... Looks like there are various people playing it well, especially this guy: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jbV5abuJzMjNqZ8.html Johnny Marr again uses some basic movable chord shapes to craft a memorable tune. Wonder if Andy Rourke had the bass line first, and Johnny came over it with some chords...?
@pedrov22486 жыл бұрын
modfather1965 Thanks for the link. That was a good cover of that song. I’ve tried to learn songs from watching people play covers , but it’s sort of difficult sometimes. I learn better when I hear full tutorials on songs since I’m a beginner. But anything helps. I’ve attempted to learn this song from tabs online and, watching covers but it has still been difficult for me. Anyways I’ll just have to keep practicing and give it more trys

Thank You for this lesson and breaking down NOWHERE FAST into some of these odd chord shapes, etc. This song has eluded me longer than I can remember. I'd always been in awe of how Daniel Earwicker made it sound even if the video's visual did not match the audio: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zqykftue3tTUqWg.html. However, Yours comes out sounding just as well if not better - and You were kind enough to explain the magic behind the song. While practicing NOWHERE I'll be waiting for Your next video. Cheers!

I try to do my own setups as much as possible... Usually works out, but occasionally, I have to seek professional help, especially with a vintage piece that has fret issues.

Indeed, it is... Given that the serial numbers get very light toward the end of the run on the back of the headstock, I had to tear into it to look at the pots and pickups to verify that it was a bona fide '68, and... Yep, there was the rest of the proof. ;-)
