Not to mention NO OPEN WINDOWS in hotel room. In case of emergency one has to open a small hatch which leads to a space then one has to call emergency services and give them a window code and have personnel open the window from the outside to escape. Creating delays in response time. Also, every hotel is required to have a escape map and instructions on escaping posted on the door. We all know that Di$ne¥ run their employees like prison labourers rather than actual representatives. Similar to the factories in China where most Disney merchandise are being produced for 12 cents/hour or around 0.8-1 RMB. Working 12-14 hour shifts. Nearly all mechandise are produced by prisoners.

Guests are required to where officially provided costumes. You can't bring your own and no outside props even if they are better quality than what they provide. You also can't leave the building and there are no outside windows as it breaks the experience. You are literally paying $6k for a 45 hour jail stay where every second of your stay is planned out and you are shuffled from event to event. Better to get an Oculus 2 and all 3 Vader Immortal games for less than $500 and a much better experience.

Let me help you, Disney: - Knock a zero out of that price; - Include the build-a-lightsaber experience from Galaxy's Edge; - At least 6 free drinks per person (1 per meal + 1 extra); - Guests get to take home thematic clothing (Jedi robes, uniforms, whatever); - Rework those minigames and add at least three or four more. Do that and you can say you have a worthy experience. You can even keep the rooms the size they are. They look comparable to cruise ship cabins, and those can actually be quite cozy.

No leading or falloff) in acrobatic turboprops built to handle 12Gs. Losing team paid the event and my team lost. We were originally gonna pay it three ways (2 grand each) but i got the crazy idea to play credit card roulette since we were in vegas. Needless to say it backfired in my face and had to fork over 6Gs worth of flying. Nothing in life beats the rush of fighting to keep the blood in your brain as you bait a bogey so your wingman can line up a killshot. As much as it hurt to fork over that much money, I would do it in a heartbeat if it was either that or this b list hotel "in spaaaaace" Give me a break.

I have to imagine Disney expected parents to allow their kids to run wild on the ship, while the parents were getting drunk in the lounge. I was also hearing people calling it Star Wars the lawsuit hotel. So many people are going to get hurt trying to cosplay in the hotel.

Gonna be honest, Disney didn’t make this $6,000 “experience” for us normal folks. They made this wealthy international vacationers who won’t even blink at dropping 6k for their kids to get the Star Wars experience. I bet all the negative domestic press about it won’t even make a dent in their international reservations.

Not only foreigners, I can totally see some Exec that makes $30K+ a month (before bonuses and other benefits, of course. Which is still laughable compared to what top Execs of large companies, let alone huge companies, make), drop the $6K, during their luxury Disney vacation, that was probably already nearing $10K. It's not for everyone, but I bet there's not that many rooms, so I'd expect this to be full most of the time, even in off-season... That's the world we live in... I really got a reality check when I vacationed at WDW back in Feb 2020... Even the cheapest Disney hotels (which are no better than a Days inn in terms of accomodations, although of course the rooms are pretty in the newly refurbed rooms, but the old ones were crap) were prohibitingly expensive for a low to medium low income family. You'd think that Disney would want to take a slice of everyone's pie, but WDW's popularity has gone so off the rails, that Disney now can fill their parks and hotels with the top portion of customers in terms of wealth.. Which means that they can now charge more for the same stuff they did before, with no additional investments needed. They didn't need to build an ultra luxury hotel, they just increased the price of everything, so that the ultra rich can spend their tens of thousands on a simple family getaways on "The happiest place on Earth™". PS: sorry for the rant

Unlikely, people that "won’t even blink at dropping 6k" have higher standards for expensive hotels. Even the kids will have seen better hotels with bigger rooms and less cheap interior. It will be a disaster, especially for people for traveled around half the globe to visit it.

We were going to get that until Kathleen Kennedy called up the imaginners and said that it was going to be based on their new trilogy as "Our best stories are ahead of us, not behind us" and because this was after TFA well, Iger supported her and thus we got the Moroccan bazaar that is Galaxy's Edge. The original plans involved making it into Tatooine and Oga's would've likely been the Mos Eisley cantina and you can still see the remains of the original plan in the land itself.

For roughly the same amount of money ($5000-5900, depending on the resort) you could stay at the island of Tonga in the Pacific and spend 8 days snorkeling with humpback whales. Seems random, yes, but everytime I hear about this hotel (that far as I can tell, is devoid of natural lighting), I just feel the need to tell people of better ways they could spend their money.

For 6000 you’d think Disney would be more imaginative. A good idea would allocate a R2 unit to each family that does all the things an Alexa does is the first thing I’d do. Plus build different worlds to be included on a journey, I mean Disney has enough land and money to do this. One thing I do know I wouldn’t want to sleep in plastic looking rooming, if someone farts in one of them rooms everybody is getting a nostril full. You can go to Liverpool docks and sleep in a steel ship for nothing with more room and comfort and a better view.

For 6k I would expect a hydraulic stage with explosions and sparks flying around when the ship is under attack, a custom built lightsaber or other item of the star Wars Universe, also the immersion should be ramped up with each guest getting a rolecall (letter with stuff/hints for the specific role) and an actual story being played out where the guests action determine which side wins and not the boring ass escape/rebel side winning. Heck throw in some simulators for a higher quality X-Wing vs TIE fighter session xD Basically make it a really high quality LARP session/setting/Convention, but even all that would be not worth the 6k's not even for a week. Also it should be all inclusive for that price.
