I loved this video it really portrays, just how amazing, smart, dedicated and technical ability of Akiyo Noguchi Such a legend, good job giving her the credit she deserves

Akiyo is one of my favourite climbers together with Janja and Ondra! I think her special power is adaptability and persistence! She's the only one of her fellow peers who've competed for around a decade who *still* constantly have been making podiums in the last couple of years, matching the young newcomers who grew up with these new style boulders/routes.

Akiyo's best climbing skill is definitely her persistence and adaptability! :) thats true shes still making podiums on her last years as a pro climber. thats what makes her a legend! who would you want to see on a video next?

@@BoulderingHighlights I wonder what she's up to these days? I can't speak Japanese, so following her social media does not tell me much. Is she still in the world of climbing? In a different role though?

@@michar.s.2683 Good question! She's still around making KZfaq videos with tomoa and still doing sponsored promos and stuff. She's a legend in Japan so she's going around promoting climbing in general still :) there's a rumour she might start a business in some kind of climbing product

@@BoulderingHighlights All the best to her, whatever she does. I remember watching a video when she's talking about her dedication to one thing: climbing. I am sure she can now focus on another thing and ultimately will be equally successful.

@@BoulderingHighlights a question: is Miho Nonaka also very popular in Japan? What about other climbers like Futaba Ito or Ai Mori? What about the guys like Tomoa Narasaki or Kokoro Fuji? I love watching them in comps.

ye she can now go on to crash outdoor boulders and crags, open her own gym, become the best coach ever, whatever she likes to do. hard work pays off
