A documentary on the League of Legends Afreeca Freecs squad. After flying to Korea to meet the Afreeca Freecs, I sat down with some of the most legendary Esports figureheads of all time: iloveoov, Kiin, Mystic, and learned just how this pro gaming team operates. Going to Korea and meeting the Freecs was one of the best experiences of my life and I hope I did their story justice in this League of Legends documentary.

1h and 20 minutes of pure quality, you are so clearly passionate about what you are talking about and the fact that you went all the way to Korea and actualy interview these amazing people is more dedication, time, effort and passion put in one great video than we see most entiteled pretentious "filmmakers" out there do. Thank you for this, I still remember when I discovered you, you were one of the first league youtubers I watched and was subscribed to and you are one of the only ones I still am subbed to, I alwayse thought you had the most different and interesting opinions and allwayse seemed to see things in a way no one else did, kinda like the Afreeca freecs now I see.

@@platinumorange1034 Multiple people. Most players go through try outs that team hold and go up from there. Kiin went through the basic try outs, looked good and was signed because TuSin and Kuro though he was really good. Aiming got scouted from challenger, became an afreeca trainee and played for one of their academy/amateur teams. Some signings are just direct ones done by head coach/GM/Owner though like MaRin, Spirit or Mystic since they're superstars who don't need try outs.

Watched this with my girlfriend who isn't much of a league fan. When I initially asked her to watch an hour long documentary with me about an eSports team she was less than excited. Coaxed her into watching the first "10 minutes" and if she didn't like it we would stop. I paused it at 1hour15mins in and she didn't even realise it had been that long. Excellent and compelling.

Gbay99: The most underrated esports-content-creator out there! Everyone who is interested in coaching, team building or just sports, in general, has to see this documentary. These 1h20min are much more than another E-Sports video trying to convince the "mainstream" to take the scene more seriously. It gives an actual insight into what a SPORTS organisation is and how important good coaches, humble and motivated players, and any other staff member is to such an organisation is. Thank you Gbay for creating this piece of art. It gives me so much motivation to work even harder for anything I want to accomplish whether that's in classic sports, esports or career. Man, I'm only like 2 minutes into this but it doesn't matter. I have been with you ever since i started playing league, around 2016. Every time i would get off league, somehow i still managed to watch you, because the reason i watched your videos was not because of the gameplay, but rather because i liked your personality and felt you where just being you. Eventualy i just stopped watching your videos regularly and just watched the ones that popped on my phone. Recently though i have been hooked into LoR and started watching you again on the second channel, and when i knew you were doing these high quality documentaries on the main one, i had to check them out, and i really liked them, like reeeeeeeeeeally liked them, i legit watched the TSM one over 10 times and im not even into competitive LoL, just the story you managed to uncover and turn into a 1hour-ish video and turn that into a sort of time capsule of the organization was just amazing. And that brings us to today, where 1 week after you uploaded this video (that i cant even imagine how much work was put into) it has 57k views. I saw your community tab post and decided to write this when i finally got to watch this video. It sucks that the KZfaq algorithm, even though i don't fully understand it, isn't sharing videos like these. It sucks that so many hours of work ended up neglected by the system. And I know I'm just a guy that likes watching your videos, but for whatever it may count, know that these videos make some random dude on the internet happy. Keep doing what you like to do and don't let the KZfaq algorithm tell you otherwise. Sry for bad english if it's the case, not my main language

technically gbay's description is right: "so talented he had an award named after him" -> if dade was not talented to begin with, his failure at worlds would not have been noteworthy and the award would not have been named after him. people fail at worlds all the time, but only because dade was so dominant (talented) domestically, it was a big deal.

Nice video! I really sympathize with these players and their struggles ( though I haven’t experienced such). Side note: I really like these 30min/ hour long videos. They’re great for putting in the background while you’re grinding it out on the game
