Pete's stories here literally gives main character of a movie type of vibe. That eruption of claps and cheers in that theatre regional finals legit sounds like it was cut out of a movie's final 10 minutes before it ends. Now i can't help but wonder why Pete chose to take the job of an english teacher in Japan instead of pursuing his acting career full time. With his natural charisma and acting skill i could see him making it BIG in the movie / tv industry. In another universe, Pete is a movie or tv show superstar today instead of a youtuber / streamer lol. 😂

I always have massive respect for people that are willing to share such horrible experiences and be so vulnerable with so many strangers online. I'm glad he is able to look back at this story now and call out just how awful those assholes were to him and to use that awful experience to show the hardships he had to overcome. He ultimatively had the last laugh now that he gets to do what he loves every day and that's the best payback you can have. Pete should actually consider writing an autobiography, The dude had one hell of a life of what we know so far and I'm sure what he told isn't even half of all the crazy shit he went through.

I really question what happened in their life for them to be that much of a prick to another person, much less a kid younger than them. His teacher/acting coach was great tho. Connor plays streamer games. And really only the mainstream ones that other streamers already play; he doesn't really take the effort to look up obscure indie or sit through long-form content like other dedicated gaming channels. I don't think he legit has the time or inclination to play on his own without the chat.

Pete is one of the nicest and most chill dudes I have ever seen, and always manages to stay positive and optimistic. He's a rare species of human that this world needs more of. Protect him at all costs. That Z95 radio station story was described in such detail that I could fully visualize it in my head and made me feel I was completely in Pete's shoes, and I straight up hated those asshole radio show hosts for treating him like that. Pete is one of the greatest storytellers in human history 😎

I really enjoy how much I relate to him, and honestly seeing someone the same age as me trying to keep up with memes makes me feel at least a little bit validated... seeing the rise of gaming and anime and internet memes only to feel left behind is a feeling I can't explain

It honestly never occurred to me that lockers wouldn’t exist in most non-American schools (or at least uk & Australian schools-idk which countries share the lack of lockers)! That’s really funny. We didn’t even have just one locker. Because my school was massive and had a spread out campus, some people in my school had 3 different lockers-a normal locker, a gym locker, and a band/orchestra locker where they’d store their instruments. In my school, it was almost nerdy to carry your backpack around with you. People often just carried the books for their next few classes and kept their backpack in their locker. I also had a ton of extracurriculars so before I had a car (which I later used to hold all this stuff), I’d keep my books of arias for private lessons, sheet music/scripts for the musical, dance shoes/clothes for dance classes, snacks to tide me over during late rehearsals, etc. in my locker. And yeah, girls sometimes went all out decorating lockers, but the novelty eventually wore off. I would still keep a magnetic mirror that stuck to the inside of the locker door though, and sometimes would stick photos up with magnets.
