At 4:00-4:18 I want to further clarify this part before the video premieres. I should have fixed my wording, but my point stands. Minkie Pie just wouldn’t be interested in any ponies because she doesn’t interact or bond with anyone outside her family. To write a Rando new pony in just to give Minkie a partner was unnecessary to her. Her family as well as derpy are the only ponies she’s around and I worded this to point out that really you could only pair Minkie with said cases of characters. Which we shouldn’t and is wrong. Please don’t ship Minkie with her family, I do not condone that. Thank you-!

I remember a long time ago, Reitanna made a poll to vote for your favorite Muffins character. Minkie won that contest IN A LANDSLIDE. I know people may think of her as a "self-insert" or a Mary Sue, but she's honestly one of my favorites. She isn't just dark for the sack of being edgy, her backstory fits perfectly with the darker story of Muffins. Plus, it makes her moments of genuine happiness that much sweeter/cuter.

I lowkey appreciate that you said "regardless of who is a self insert, isn't it all in good fun?" Its easy to devalue a character for the sole reason of "well they're just a self insert". So again, I really appreciate you saying that. Whether you're someone who's got passion for making self insert characters, or someone who enjoys content around self inserts, it's about fun in the end. If it makes you happy, then that's all that should matter for ya.

Idk but when I listen to the song Sippy Cup I think of Minkie Pie or that it gave me Minkie Pie vibes when I’m listening to it especially the line "kids are still depressed when you dressed them up" ;w;

Honestly the only big issue i have with her is her cutiemark-- its so.. just-- silly? On the nose? Idk, but i feel its just so unnecessary. Rainbott had made their own reboot of muffins themselves and i love their change to Minkie, mostly the cutiemark being a key instead of a lock. While yes cutiemarks dont always reflect a characters talent or skill and can represent a part of themselves, it feeds unneedily cruel and over the top

Minkie Pie is an odd character to me. I do love her, but I am also conflicted with her character. It mainly has to do with the Mad Musings. I just don't know how I feel about them. Honestly, uncomfortable. And I can see why people or myself believe she is a self-insert. That isn't bad all the time, but sometimes it can be, depending on their role in the story.

Out of all The Bakers I think Minkie Pie is the least crazy and evil. Now just hear me out. Minkie Pie was never always like this. She was just a child who's parents locked her away all because they misunderstood her. She was never loved or never allowed to feel love for anyone else. All she ever knew was misery and pain even from at a young age. And so, being tortured and locked away by the people who was supposed to love her gave her a different worldview on everything in life. The other bakers don't have any worldview. They just kill other ponies for the fun of it or simply because they're all just crazy. Minkie Pie is the only one who still has some layer of humanity...uhh ponynity...I'm sure you get what I mean. All this pain and suffering and yet somehow that still never stopped herself from showing a little bit of compassion and mercy to her victims...I mean she still kills them anyway but even still my point still stands. :)

Muffins will always be special to me. If people don’t like minkie just because of how she looks and think she is just some edge lord, they have either never watched muffins or don’t even know her backstory at all. It makes perfect sence she’d be this way. Her own mother abandoned her in a cellar, starved her, and left her for dead. Her father never came to see her whether it was because of shame or guilt we don’t know. He said it was because of shame but he still was no better than cloudy. I still don’t believe her when she apologized to minkie right before her death. She was only saying that to save her own skin. I can’t really hate minkie for what she does either because every time I look at her I see that filly who was abandoned by the ones who were supposed to love her. You really feel sorry for the bakers and the muffins series is written from their perspective so we see that as the good guys and celestia and Luna as the villains. I mean in that court hearing episode the bakers called them out on a lot of stuff they did. This could be reitanna expressing her own hatred for them as she did for twilight or that oc mare Inkie killed but I don’t know how she feels about the royal sisters. So I wouldn’t know for sure.

I have a genuine question; Would Minkie have more physical issues due to the severe neglect and isolation even just mental issues?? Like think about it; if you lost a child under the age of 10 in a dark room for years with no access to anyone and you rarely feed them/ give them water…they would have more problems than just being mentally unstable right?
