Derpy getting upstaged in her own sequel series by a self insert and Babs really is so dirty in my eyes.

As a neurospicy asexual, I'm generally not a fan of "naive character has to be asexual"-trope. Like one can be allo and still be a bit naive or have childish mindset. If I were to rewrite Derpy, I would keep her naive and sheltered, but not "childish or child-like". She would act maybe a bit immature for her age, but in her own words, she wouldn't be stupid. Derpy just sometimes regresses to a bit more child-like personality to cope with her trauma, but only in a safe enviroment. She loves to colour and play with Apple Bloom to experience a childhood she never had. Derpy still would be fully capable of living on her own, but it was really mentally taxing for her. She was exhausted both physically and mentally, and also incredibly stressed. It made her clumsier and more forgetful, and in turn it made her even more stressed. Pinkie, one of the only ponies who never patronized her, had noticed the vicious cycle Derpy was stuck in and invited Derpy to move in with her. She accepted the invitation of course. Pinkie promised to take care of the boring adult stuff and adult responsibilities, giving Derpy time and mental resources to focus on herself. She now had time to properly rest and destress, and Pinkie understood if Derpy needed an extra break to prevent herself from getting overwhelmed by sounds and smells. It was no biggie, if Derpy just promised to decorate extra five muffins for Pinkie! All this allowed Derpy to improve her coordination and memory, because her life is less mentally taxing.

I know I made a video talking about my issues with how Derpy is portrayed in the muffins' series but I think Rainbott did a better job explaining the problems with her.. I have a few select issues with the character just as how Rei written her and the fact that she is upstaged by Minkie Pie and Babs seed (....in her own story....), I'm not saying that Reitanna COULDN'T write in babs and minkie but she should also focus on Derpy too considering that the title is literally called 'Muffins'. I honestly don't think Minkie is a self-insert but considering that she literally shares almost the same traits as Rei, yeah I'm leaning in 'self insert' but those are just my thoughts.

Polysexual is a sexuality like pan or omnisexual, while pan is an equal attraction to all genders, and omni is attraction to all genders, but having different types or levels of attraction to different genders Polysexual is attraction to most but not all genders Polyamory is the term for being in a relationship with more than one person (Not trying to be rude, just trying to be helpful, for some reason I sound rude to others even over text so I'm putting this here to try and fix that)

So does the name “Derpy” remain canon?

Polysexual and polyamorous aren’t the same thing? I don’t mean to be that person 🥲 I’m just curious because in the happy pride video, she was placed as being both polysexual and bisexual even though when I researched they were both two different sexualities from each other, Polysexual means sexual and/or romantically to multiple genders and bisexual being men or women. Polyamorous means involving, having, or characterized of having sexual and/or romantic relationships with two or more people at the same time I’m just trying to wrap my head around if Polysexual and bisexual are indeed what you meant, because I don’t know if you can be both at the same time 🤔

I don't want to be "that guy" but i still haven't seen a comment correcting you on this, Derpy, you say should be "Polysexual" so she can be in more than one relationship, and i saw you made her bisexual in your pride video, but i guess I'll try to correct you here, hopefully you'll see it. "People who are Polyamorous might have many relationships, whereas people who are Polysexual are attracted to many people." Idk if you just mixed them up or if she's both polysexual and bisexual at the same time, which is fine, some use more than one label. But, with how you described it i have a feeling you just mixed up the two.

Oh wow, I didn't know wobbly cat syndrome was a thing! I really like how you address the sexual orientation of Derpy. While I do view her as ace, I feel like she can be other sexualities and shouldn't be labeled asexual just because she acts childish in Muffins. While she isn't my favorite baker, and probably my least favorite, I do like her and hope for the best for her character in your ending and rewrite. She feels so overshadowed by the others, mainly Babs, or the other Pie sisters. One of my biggest issues with Derpy is that she feels like a stereotype of autistic people and I really fucking loathe that the creator kept using the R slur against her. I just hope she gets better representation because she deserves it. Also, I wished I responded sooner since this came out before my birthday but I was distracted by watching Invincible
