I loved this finale! This episode I was super impressed by how maturely Jeremiah handled everything. I’m proud of him being the one to tell Belly she needed to talk to Conrad, and being the first one to tell Conrad that he just wants the both of them to be happy, and that he’ll step aside if she chooses him. I’m really proud of Belly too. She finally realized how Conrad is, and that it isn’t her job to fix him. Nobody can say after this episode, that Belly didn’t choose Jere of her own free will. I’m glad they had her choose Jere even after Conrad admitted his feelings. As a Jelly shipper, I’m not sure what’s going to happen in season 3, but short of completely destroying Belly and Jeremiah’s characters, (which would be extremely disappointing) I don’t see how they’re going to make Bonrad endgame. Regardless, for now I’m just going to enjoy what we have, and I hope we get to see a lot of college cuteness between Belly and Jeremiah. I can’t wait to see them in a relationship! Also, Lola and Gavin’s chemistry continues to be perfection. I can’t believe we got XO by Beyoncé! That was iconic.

The Swedish fish part frustrates me so much as a viewer. They spent so much time explaining to the audience that Jere remembers everything about Belly but he randomly forgot her fav candy?? It doesn’t make sense. Also, in the books, Belly loves Swedish fish. If they wanted to hype up Conrad or imply that he knows her better, they should’ve found a less lazy way of doing it, plot wise, this one made no sense.

It took loosing him in her kife to reakize just what he neant to her. With Jeremiah she can be herself. He will be there for her through everything, good and bad. He sees her for who she is and what she can be. It was sad for Conrad but what he needed in order to grow.

Great reaction video like always. I believe that their were to major scenes for Jelly this episode that many people might not know about or look at. The first scene is was Belly and Susannah which set up this entire season. Belly promises Susannah that she will take care of Conrad which she did by helping Jere find him, helping him keep the house, helping him get into Brown and finally by letting him go at the end so he can enjoy Stanford. Also, in that scene she sees Jeremiah and realizes everything his been going through over the year by him taking care of Susannah. In that moment she knew that she wanted Jere back in her life as her best friend which is why she called him in episode 1 and apologized to him in episode 2. The second scene was the motel room scene. Gavin admits in an interview that Jere was up when Conrad and Belly were talking. That explains why he left because he thought Belly was chosing Conrad again and he wanted to mentally come to terms with it which he did. That's why he didn't want to look at her or believe it. Also, I enjoyed how you noticed that Belly didn't want to run after Conrad but did run after Jeremiah. I believe that was the shows way of really showing who Belly wants to be with right now.

Without knowing the ending in the books i think we'd all be rooting for Jere and can clearly see how even though Conrad loves belly he's not what she needs, but our own bias of wanting to be on the winning teams deludes us into justifying Conrad's actions. Yes, he went through a hard time but so did Jer and he never once hurt belly. Im actually so upset that they tarnished his character in the last book to let bonrad have their endgame because it's not like Jere. Both belly and Conrad led people on in the first season but never Jere. If the show ends like the books it only perpetuates the idea that good guys come last which is terrible. Belly deserves to grow as a person and not be bound to the infatuation she had for Conrad as a child. The sweet moments Conrad gives doesn't undo the pain he's caused. All throughout belly is always concerned about Jeremiah's feelings way more which shows who she really loves. We love to say Belly caused this mess but she tried establishing boundaries so many times and Conrad crossed them all. Jer deserves his happy ending the most.

Belly really toyed with both brothers this season. I hope we see a more mature version of her in Season 3.

The thing is jere put himself in this situation he knows belly loves conrad and he knew this in season 1 and he still choose to date her a few months after Conrad and belly broke up. And they decide to kiss while in Conrad’s college on his car and belly wearing his sweater. Also I hate when they conrad is messy during the car ride it’s so wrong because how would you react seeing your brother kiss your ex in front of you and then just have no feelings towards him about how it would feel. When conrad kiss belly he didn’t even know about Jere and her but Jere knew about belly and conrad. And he chooses to insert himself in this situation.

I am so team Conrad it's painful. I knew I couldn't support Jere as soon as he interrupted Belly and Conrad with the fireworks, intentionally got between them, and then acted surprised and hurt when the two found their way back together again. He knew they had feelings for each other and put himself in the way, not considering what his brother and Belly truly wanted. Conrad has a lot to work on before being a good partner, especially in communication and processing emotions, but I can't help but feel like Jere has red flags hidden just below the surface. Belly not being honest with her feelings is by far the worst thing to happen this season though! It seems so clear that she is using Jere to get over Conrad but isn't being honest with herself about it. Neither Jere nor Conrad deserve that.

As a Team Conrad person, I do can accept Jere and Belly being together for now. I want to try to break down my thoughts a little bit... First of all, yes, I do see how Jere grw this season, but he ain't completely there yet. He still has many things to work on. Second, Conrad grew this seaosn as well. He strated to open up more and more and it's really sad how ppl overlook that. He starts to admit to his mistakes and even apologises for them. So this is still my main problem with Jere, he didn't apologize so far, but he should've as well. They both messed things up over time. Conrad was always potrayed to have been this smart, funny, happy a little introvert guy. He used to protect the younger ones and guide them, especially Belly. He would teach Belly stuff, explain things to her and would give her gifts (uniconr, junior mint). We do know he liked Belly before, he just didn't know it was love. Belly fell for Conrad for all the right reasons, yes he was her first crush, but it wasn't some obsession and it wasn't unhealthy for her to like Conrad, he always has been a great guy and that is why she fell for him in the first place. Jere and Conrad a very different ppl, they are so different that in real life, they probably wouldn't be close friends. Conrad is an introvert and a shy person, it has always been hard for him to open up to ppl, unlike Jere. Jere is an extrovert.moments. Conrad was closer to his father when growing up, but the reason behind it ain't a pleasent one. Adam favourized Conrad over Jere. He tried to push him to be good at anything, academcially and physically in sports. Conrad put their dad on a podestal (words from the books). So Conrad being good at anything, ppl started to put him on a podestal as well, especially Jere. When Conrad found out abt his dad, it crushed his world. They one person he admired the most was a cheater and liar and the started to despise his dad for it. Jere always felt like second choice to their father. When being younger, he didn't mind it, but growing up, he started to feel frustrated and saw it as being unfair. He was always lookingup to Conrad. When Conrad changed that summer, he wasn't the perfect guy anymore ppl wanted him to be and Jere started to despise Conrad for it, bc he thought it was unfair ppl still favourized him. He also developed anger and jelousy torwards his brother. And quite frankly, this is the main issue I do have with Jeres character, bc this wasn't Conrads fault. It was their fathers for making him feel that way and created these insecurities in Jere, no Conrad. When Adam left the family, Conrad was the oldest one and was suddenly had to take care of things. He was raised to be the older and protective brother, but suddenly he had to fill in their dads position or at least he tried to. In the movie, you can see how he tried to take care of his mum and things around them. He would clean up and try to help around the house as good as possible. He didn't tell Jere abt the cheating and the cancer bc he wanted to protect Jere. He knew how important their dad was to Jere and how he also looked up to Adam. Conrad didn't want to take that away from Jere, he wanted to keep these messy things away from him out of protection. Was it always the right thing to do, probably not, but it came from goo intention. In the books and in the show, yoiuo can see how at least in the beinning, it was always abt competeing with Conrad for Jere. Jere always tried to compete with Conrad to impress their father, again Adams fault. Jere and Belly had always been good friends and her being all over Conrad stung him pretty bad. Yet another thing he thought he was abt to loose to his brother. He also thought it wasn't fair and that Conrad wasn't worthy of Bellys attention. Conrad was always there for Belly as well, he would guide her and teach her stuff. He helped her with trig, explained things to her when she didn't know them. He would go and buy her gift he kew would make her happy like junior mint and the glass unicorn. He cared for her as well big time. Conrad was in a bad place to start something with Belly and he partly knew it, that is way he tried to keep his distance in the first place. He always felt really happy around her, you can see that after the fourth of July. Clevelands words unfortunately made him doubt everything again. He is an introvert just like Belly and talking abt these kind of things is very hard for him. Jere is more open in that way as an extrovert. Doesn't mean Conrad ain't worthy of Bellys love. As for their Mum dying. Ofc this was very hard on both brothers. But ppl would call Conrad out on not being there enough. Conrad was going to college, as Susannah would've wanted him to be. She never would've let him stay at home. Even in the books Jere POV says, it wasn't Conrads fault, he also didn't always know how fast their Mum got worse, othrwise he would've stayed home. He tried to do it all, bc it's in his character. ´ Conrad tries to please ppl and puts his own feelings aside and not let ppl see what he feels. Yes he looks broody, but this doesn't mean ppl can see how he actually feels. And you saying he wasn't there when their Mum died. We don't even know that. I am pretty sure when things got really bad. In the books it is implied both Jere and Conrad were their when she actually died. Conrad does have his flaws ofc he has, doesn't mean he is the only one. Jere ain't the innocent sunshine boy everyone make him out to be. He punshed Conrad in the series, he downtalks on Conrad a lot, he calls him names and tried to embarrass Conrad infront of Belly, but it backfired. He guilty trips Belly whenever her and Conrad interact. His insecurities and his jealousy torwards Conrad and Belly bring out the worst in him imo, which ain't very fair imo. Also anothr thing...Conrad does have his issues and his actions ain't justified, but so aren't Jeres or Bellys. In s2, Conrad stood up and apologized to Jere abt his behaviour, but Jere never once apologized back, not even after starting something with Belly which, let's be honest, wasn't fair play at all. It's his brother ex girlfriend whom he shared a deep love relationship with. This sceneario is a pretty messed up one and post probably would ruin families in real life. Good thing it's fiction ;). Yes, Belly choose Jere at the end of s2 and I get why. She is young and she wants to enjoy life again, and Jere can give her this right now. Conrad needs to heal an grow some and take care of his inner demons. Belly buries her feelings for Conrad, but they ain't gone. As for the events in s3. Ppl would always argue that it was completely out of character for Belly and Jere to drift apart, but it wasn't. They are bost still young and they jumped into this reationship without Belly being fully over Conrad and with Jere still having growing up to do himself and heal as well. They wil go off to college together, they will meet new ppl, develop new interests and just grow apart. If they choose to not follow they exacct events from book 3, there is still enough content fr Belly and Jere not work in the long run. Jere is a laid back person in general and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Belly is someone who strives for new things and adventures and this will be a breaking point as well. Their time together will be good and it will be easier for them as long Conrads gone. But Conrad returning at some point, being grown up and himself again will twist things. Like I said in the beginning, Belly fell for him for all the right reason and she will again in s3. Conrad and Belly went all the way in s2. This is a big hange from books to show and I do think I know the reaoson for that. In the books, Belly wants to wait to go all the way with Jere without a particular reason mentioned. Now in the show, they will use this for Belly to not be ready go there with Jere, which imo will be the break up reason in s3. Jere will start to uestion their relationship and will see, that Belly is in fact always a tille tied to Conrad. Next to all the reasonable things love should be and bring, there is still a part where love doesn't always have specific reasons. It's just a natrual thing to be drwan to a person. So next to all the good things Conrad can provide, Belly will always be torn to him bc she can't help it. S3 will also show some of Jeres flaws a little bit more. We know they are there, but they weren't as obvious as Conrads so far. Again, they will have a great time together, but ultimately will grow apart and it won't be out of. Steven talking abt Conrad challenging Belly more. I think ppl misunderstood that big time. Challenging doesn't mean hard or constantly trying to work for love. Imo it means always trying to be the best verisonn of herself for the other person and wanting movement. This is what Conrad will be able to give Belly in the end and this something I feel like Belly will want from life. All in all, the endgame is already clear. There are so many hints and there is so much foreshadowing already pointing out Conrad and Belly. It was said they want to stay as close to the books as possible and luckily JH is deeply involved in the whole preocess, she knows which main plot are the important ones and she wants to stay true to them. The message behind Conrad and Bellys is second chances. Mistakes at young ages out of love, loss and grief shouldn't determine our future. Conrads path back is a very tough one and it should learn us it's worth fighting your way back into life and love. To learn you are worthy of the love you thought you weren't. The same goes for Belly. Ok so, this is it ;). Sory went a little overboard, but I think it's important to go into detail with these guys :).

My final thoughts on the love triangle as ive rewatched the entire series not just this season, but before i start im definitely on team Jeremiah because i can relate more to his character than Conrads. First even though im team Jeremiah doesn't mean i dont see the good in Conrad. I do believe his a good brother, son and tried his best to be a good boyfriend to Belly. He really did love her but his main problem is opening up and communicating which he did try to do but to little to late. I do believe as people get older they become better communicators which he will get better at. I also can see why Belly wanted to be with Conrad especially at the end of season 1. Now for Jeremiah. His character definitely grew more than any kther character from season 1 to season 2. I do believe he becomes more mature but I do wish he would've apologized to Conrad after their fight. I mean he did in his own way by helping him study and driving to school but i wanted to hear im sorry. I also believe you can see how much Jeremiah loves Belly by agreeing to give her up if thats what she wants and he even gave her an out again by saying it wont be like last summer. The thing that i will always fight people on is that Belly didn't have feelings for Jeremiah before last season because that isn't true. If she never had feelings for Jeremiah than she wouldn't agreed to kiss him in the pool when he asked if she ever thought of them together which she replied yes. Please dont quote the book because the show is different than the book. Finally, Belly now admits not once but twice that being with Jeremiah is real which scares her. She did it last season with Taylor and this season with Jeremiah. I believe it scared her because she never wants to lose Jeremiah in her life which you see cone through during this season which is why Belly was so happy when ever Jeremiah was around. Right now Jeremiah was the best choice because he fought for Belly, his always there for her and he told her to follow her dreams for volleyball because he knows thats what she really wants. Do i believe they will be end game no but oen could hope that they change the ending but i guess we will see in 2 years.

It’s so interesting to me how so many people completely look over the fact that Conrad has been paying attention to Belly for YEARS. He’s always seen who she really is, Jeremiah can only see what she has to offer. And that’s also not Jeremiah’s fault. Belly has shared her deepest and most secret thoughts with Conrad, that she can’t share with Jeremiah because she feels as if he wouldn’t understand. I agree that IN THIS MOMENT IN TIME, Jeremiah is what she needs right now. I just think that their relationship is so surface level compared to her and Conrad.
