It’s the eggs they use in the dough. The yolks are a really strong orange/yellow color that gives it the color, texture, and flavor.

Legendary. It's a great part of Central Texas lore. There's something special about a Saturday morning just after 5 am, and I'm waiting in the Drive-Thru at Round Rock Donuts for some donuts and kolaches. I'm from Dallas but every now and then I'd take a road trip down there for a great experience to the morning. There's nothing else like them anywhere.

About 30 years ago I went to Oklahoma for a wedding. I was talking to the wedding photographer. He ask were I lived. I told him Round Rock, Texas. He replied, “The place with the donuts!” Even now, we are still know for the donuts.

I used to drive from Kerrville to Round Rock just for these donuts. You need to do the Czech Stop if you have not already. I used to drive there too just for the kolaches.

I'm surprised at how dirty the kitchen is. Krispy Kreme cleans their kitchen 2 times a day & you can see that it is clean when you pick up donuts.

Honestly, these are good for like 2 bites. But if you’re even a little bit health conscious at all, that’s about all you can eat. They taste like they’re coated in butter. I get instant heart burn when eating these. But hey, to each their own. Just wish they offered some without that final glaze they put over them

The glazed is best even warming it up in the microwave afterwards the but if you want a great donut try Duck Dounts to die for.

I've noticed that the donut holes have more glaze to the actual donuts. And the donuts are about 50/50. The Texas sized is more dough and less glaze. The hint of vanilla is great.... But the donuts with no glaze and rolled in granulated sugar in the best! To try one just ask for a glaze with no glaze and rolled in sugar. Sadly after 6 ( when they stop frying) i couldnt get one
