Find out about the amazing benefits of castor oil that have stood the test of time.
0:00 Introduction: Castor oil for skin and hair
0:19 Ricinoleic acid benefits
2:52 Cold-pressed castor oil
3:19 The best castor oil for your hair
In this video, we’re going to talk about the benefits of castor oil. Castor oil contains the compound ricinoleic acid, which acts as a remedy for many issues involving the skin and hair.
Castor oil can be very beneficial for the following concerns:
• Dry skin
• Brittle hair
• Dry hair
• Hair loss
• Cracked heels
• Stretch marks
• Scars
• Dermatitis
• Joint pain
• Acne
• Styes
Ricinoleic acid in castor oil has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and is a potent antioxidant. Castor oil is a natural conditioner for the skin and hair, so it works as an excellent moisturizer. It can also rejuvenate skin affected by sun damage.
Castor oil has antifungal properties, so it works as a remedy for toenail fungus.
Castor oil is easy to find and relatively inexpensive! Look for cold-pressed castor oil without a hexane solvent.
Jamaican black castor oil is the best for hair. It stimulates hair growth, adds shine, and can also help with alopecia.

I’ve been using castor oil off and on for a few months now, but at the beginning of March I decided to use it every day on my face, hands and the belly button method. I’m 44 and blessed with pretty good genes so I don’t have a lot of wrinkles yet, but my hands were looking less than youthful and always dry. After 20 straight days of using it on my hands, they are almost back to youthful! The bags under my eyes are diminished and my face looks and feels so much smoother! As for using it in my belly button, I’ve noticed that I’m more regular and it’s easier to go. I’ve also noticed a reduction in bloating and I’m noticing I’m having less aches and pains in general. I’m a total believer!

But now it's much flatter and I apply only at night with covered bandaid. Plus I use it on my numerous skin tags and added to my lotions for added benefits. Thank you dr. Berg for posting about castor oil. I discovered it by accident, back in 2017, I grew my hair so long as it saved it from dryness and breaking, using it as a mask before washing, I also mix it with the shampoo it blends perfectly. But this winter, when my face got so dry during the cold dry days, no moisturizer would help. I started putting castor oil on my face in the evening. I wake up with fresh skin and smooth skin. My skin is stronger and doesn't get as dry anymore. It helped me together with a warm pad or massager to heal my back pain. Also, I started rubbing it into my feet before sleep then put my feet in woven socks, until it absorbs. That was 3 months ago, and now my every night routine.I never ever since my childhood had such soft almost baby feet. Castor oil is amazing. Sticky and doesn't smell the best, yet absorbs in such a great way and is so helpful! When I give myself those treatments I sleep so well and wake up feeling better.

It will definitely cause labor in a woman that is ready for the baby to be born. I was three weeks late, took a tablespoon and started labor in two hours or less 😊 my first baby girl. I also use it as a moisturizing oil, everywhere. One other thing, my sweet cockerpoo female, Macie, has severe cateracts, I used it daily in her little eyes and it controlled her issue although it didn't clear it up completely it really really helped her.

I have blepharitis, or just flakes of skin at the base of my lashes. I used eyelid scrubs but I couldn't get them off. After watching this video and reading comments, I rubbed castor oil onto my eyelids and lashes before bed. The next morning I woke up and the bases of my lashes were completely clear and the flakes were now sitting at the tips of the lashes, ready to be brushed off! I didn't know it could do this as I was aiming to treat another eye condition, but it's amazing and I'll do it from now on. I'm thinking that this works with other oils too.

I heat up a pot of hot water, then put a glass into the hot water. In the glass I use (estimated) 2 tbsp castor oil, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil, and 2-3 drops of rosemary essential oil. Use a dropper or trukey baster to apply, applying it directly on the scalp. I've been using it for about 3 months and my hair is THICK! I used to have a clump of thinner hairs in my fingers every time I showered, (50-100) now I have MAYBE 10-20 and they are all thick and dark. Castor Oil is fertilizer for your scalp!

@regina9565 I do it at least once a few times a month. Once a week preferably. Washing out is easy-- let the warm to hot water rinse over the head, and then wash & rinse twice.
