The Tour De France is well on its way, with the riders putting in huge efforts every day to compete. But what do they have to eat to fuel such Herculean performances? Join Conor as he follows a diet set by Trek-Segafredo Nutritionist Stephanie Scheirlynck, and attempts to eat what an average tour rider eats in a day

Hi, the rider's weight is also an important data before and after the stage, and more important at the end of the tour. It work precisely as a control of what is consumed in each athlete. This works in such a way that what they lose during the stage they get back and ready for the next stage. Above all, don't exceed the calories, obviously they have their chefs and nutritionists on the bus.

Now I'm going to have to ride another 40 miles to burn the weight I just gained watching this episode. If this isn't your normal routine I think you're going to need a plumber to fix the toilet.

This makes me realize I am under fueling for the amount of riding I do

Nothing wrong with that and it's what the pros do when not racing. You only need to fuel your hard days when you are going near or over threshold.

Hi guys, amazing content, as always. What I would really like discussed is, the average diet on season versus off season, the diet in between big tours versus small tours, and everything in between. All I remember from my very brief experience, is going from consuming ridiculous amounts of food, to eating next to nothing, and then going straight back to eating ridiculous amounts of food. Imagine if Christian Bale was a pro cyclist with a new movie role every day, that was what I imagine.
