2dog14 Thank you for the correction :) I was writing quick and hadn't checked over what I wrote. My little nerdy self would have jumped at the notebook since stationary was a major weakness of mine, on top of it being from a series that I loved back then. Of course, nowadays I look back at it and think "weren't the relationships kind of abusive?", but I suppose it just makes for good memories and fun discussions with friends about how we were lowkey obsessed with it back in the day. It was my first manga series, so at least I can't really say I chose the worst one to start with, persay.

Those Pokemon cards are all fairly common, but definitely VERY early ones. You can tell, for one thing, by how fat Pikachu is. And yes, the Frogger is for the 2600, but I have no idea why it's shaped that way. Normal American 2600 carts are just plain rectangles.

Pokemon cards are quite distinctly separated into generations just from the layout design more than the pokemon designs really (or at least they were back when I last gave a shit about them). And of course only the gen 1 and 2 ones look like they were drawn with pencils rather than on a computer, a look I'm really rather fond of
@Urpuss8 жыл бұрын
Aren't they all from when the first season of the anime was aired? They look identical to all the once I got in the attic.
@charliediamond61978 жыл бұрын
+Magmafrost13 The Pokemon franchise including the games red blue and green and the first gen Pokemon cards all existed before the anime series, that's why some Pokemon look different, when creating the anime they wanted to focus on Pikachu being one of the main characters but didn't feel it looked cute enough. Also the anime series and the Pokemon game series are not related in any way shape or form and are not cannon to each other, in the games version of the Pokemon world most Pokemon growl like wild animals and do not just retardedly repeat their own names.

The Optikk figure is worth about £15 (decent condition, missing accessories), not sure the cost of the box (if it's over £25 then it's a solid ripoff), the T-Bob figure in mint condition is worth £7...so one in that kind of condition, probably about £3-4, so that's £18-£19 worth of stuff there and the Frogger cartridge is worth about £7. So you got around £24-£25 worth of stuff there.

Munch Pak is the best bang for your buck and they have the most customization. -(but it's mainly just if you like foreign food.)- (Nevermind. they have options in the customization bit I talked about.)

I would also enjoy such a novelty but postage to Australia invariably costs more than whatever you're shipping. Even stuff made in south-east asia that you'd think would be cheaper to ship.

Carbon 12 Well, he got all the details right so yeah. As I said I was into He-man for years after it first started (I remember the old mini-comics where all the text was at the bottom and He-Man was a wondering hero, long before that Prince Adam weirdness) and I totally missed this guy. :)
@luketfer8 жыл бұрын
Weren't those the minicomics initially packaged with each figure that were nothing like the show because they invented the story for the figures several years before it got a TV show?

I like how Munchpak advertises foreign foods yet most of the products pictured on the homepage are British and available easily in Britain. Can't say that's selling it for me. (Yes I'm aware they're American, before any smart arse commenters point it out.)

That first Toy Box was pretty much great in my mind, it hit me right in my nostalgia bone. I think you missed the best part about that Stone Protector, if you wind his arm around magic sparks happen inside his chest. Cool as fuck as a boy, thinking about it now, I guess he's basically just half of a lighter.
