Episode Fifteen of Season 2 has the guys taking a look at the new Menard's Beta Test 4.0 Santa Fe A-A Diesel units and comparing them to the first test version.
They also look at one of Lionel's new Legacy ES44AC diesels (U.S.Army), the new Lionel VisionLine Horse car and Reindeer Car. Plus Bill shares a couple things he's been up to.
The "Train Shop" is their 83 year old family run model railroad shop Henning's Trains in Lansdale Pennsylvania. They are model railroaders and not Audio Visual people, but they seem to enjoy themselves and we hope you do too..

Great show. I really respect what Menard's is doing here. The fact that they are not only building their own loco's, but releasing beta versions for feedback is a fantastic way to do business. Thanks for sharing.

What a great way to end the weekend, Sunday night at Henning's! I can see Menards made improvements to the F3's, but honestly if it were up to me I'd drop the crew talk and go with a better quality horn and bell. I'm not sure if engine sounds are even necessary. Also, they SHOULD add a switch to allow for conventional control, they do seem to keep having trouble with the remote. Nice to have a conventional control back-up, electronics can fail. Good show as always, thanks for posting! And congratulations on the freight house grant!

Congrats to Bill and the community organization that's involved in saving the freight station. My wife used to work in economic and community development, so I am familiar with the hoops that you have to jump through in order to obtain grants. In the 1980's, there was lots of government money to tear down lots of vintage buildings to make way for modern progress. We lost some historical buildings here in Hazleton, PA. Several theaters, stores, and our beloved Lehigh Valley train station. Thanks to your hard work, you were able to save a piece of your local history and turn it into a multifunctional location showcasing past history and modern events. Congrats again.

Right, the tear-downs began in the late 1960s with "Urban Renewal" programs, a lot of fine old buildings were lost. Now, and probably with the realization that no-one could afford to build new ones as well or as permanent as the old ones more people look at re-purposing and revitalizing old buildings. Hey, look at a high school built in 1910 and compare it with one built in 2010, there's NO comparison when you compare craftsmanship, materials, and durability.

Hey Harry that coilcar is a NSC prototype from the late 1990's too modern a car for when you worked for SPI,most of those cars that came into SPI were Evans cars mainly B&O,C&O cars from Armco steel Ashland Kentucky works.

Harry I’ve recently acquired a collection of buses and there are multiple railroad buses in the collection once I’m done going through them if there are any Pennsylvania railroad I’ll send it to you
