So many people ask me if I get lonely while solo cruises. My honest answer? Absolutely not - the ships are FANTASTIC ways to meet people - if you want to - but also such brilliant places to relax on your own (if you prefer!). Great video, Ben!

Great comments on solo cruising, I love solo and I think NCL does the best job of making it a great experience.

Doing any Holiday alone is the best way to meet people! I used to go car-camping alone and I would always try to meet my neighbors. I met so many people from Europe that I did visit when I spent the summer traveling by train to so many countries. The experience is so different when you visit people where they live and it was always so nice to get a break from staying in places where you know no one.

I’ve been guilty of skipping the solo traveler meetups on NCL and maybe I ought to be going more often - scavenger hunt and a go kart ride as a prize is awesome! Enjoyed watching this one, and can relate to so much, of course 😄

You have really opened my eyes to NCL! I’ve been missing out😮 I mostly travel solo, you’re doing something that I haven’t seen before which is talk about the activities available to solo’s and show us the daily mail for solo’s. LOVE IT🎉🎉

I don’t ever feel solo cruising because people keep stopping to talk to me! Sometimes in the dining room, I get sat next to couples who don’t seem happy or are low-key arguing throughout the whole meal. If you’re going to travel with another person, at least try to make it enjoyable for them too

I’ve sailed solo numerous times, including on Norwegian as well as Princess and Holland America. All three have interesting programs and depending on which ship in the Princess fleet the solo meet up might be the first night only or every night of the cruise. I had a great experience staying in the studio cabin on board the Norwegian Encore and that was a fantastic group led by an amazing solo host. I also sailed on the Norwegian escape, again in a studio cabin, and the solo host was extremely disappointing, she was totally uninterested in the job and the solo group picked up on that as well. This is a great video and I hope to see you on board a ship sometime in the near future.

When I was much much younger, I traveled quite a bit on Costa Cruise line. I don't know whether Costa still does it but they used to sit the singles at a table together. I haven't been on them for quite some time as nowadays I usually cruise on holiday America because the ships are smaller.

Thank you Ben for your video. I enjoy them all. I'm experienced solo cruiser and love NCL. Overall they are pioneer of solo cruising and have great deals. They have assigned solo cabins in all categories. On larger ships - such as Bliss - you have solo studios (special design for one person) with solo lounge. These studios are great and only solo cruisers have access to this area. Last November I was in a solo studio on Bliss and had a great time. My next solo cruise with NCL will be on Norwegian Jewel in October 2024 for 9 days Alaska. So excited. 🚢

How do you like the new Prima class ships as compared to the Breakaway and Breakaway Plus class? I have only been on the Breakaway and the Encore so far, in the studios both times. I have a solo balcony booked on the Getaway in the fall.

You seem like a nice guy why do you cruise alone? My husband went one time and never again. It was also Norwegian. I do not like being on a schedule. Have fun ❤
