Hi Ben. Great vlog, very interesting. Especially since our son works on cruise ships and is currently on the a cruise ship in Norway. I just wanted to say that the things on the beach were not eggs but cuttlefish bone, great for calcium for birds.

I am like you , I always carry my passport with me… I have a photocopied version which I would highly recommend everyone have as well. For obvious reasons. I get why people do not carry theirs. If they get mugged, the thought of trying to prove who you are and recovering that vital piece of documentation is not going to be easy. I also carry a charger as well. My rucksack is light, and always on my front. I always stick to popular areas where there are people around to avoid any nonsense when alone. My Samsonite and Rimowa cases have never been an issue and I have been to some rough airports. The universal plugs have never been an issue, again, I travel prepared for that… I have to agree with you, a tracker is necessary nowadays. You have the one up on me there! I travel soon, and i am going to invest in one today. Sound advice! Your London to see video was good. I am from The UK, residing abroad and enjoyed the little details you mentioned. The rule of travel is ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’’ and you will get along fine! Take a phrase book! It goes a long way to making friends.

Congratulations on 100 videos, Ben. I think I have seen almost all of them and you are getting better! Thank you for taking us along on your travels,

Fascinating approach to camping. I'm a very experienced tent camper having camped all over the US, Canada, Europe (although not the UK), Scandinavia and even Russia when it was the Soviet Union. Despite all of that I never tried what you just tried-- Wild camping while walking through populated areas with no planned or detailed itinerary. I suppose the closest I've come to that is backpacking in National Parks or canoeing in Canada, but those were more structured and planned than what you attempted. I don't think I'd be comfortable or even brave enough just fill a backpack and start walking. Some people in the US do what's called "boondocking" which is similar to what you attempted but they do it in some sort of vehicle--often a camper or van. At night they just park in some shopping mall or off some obscure road to sleep in the vehicle. I haven't tried that either. I suggest the next time you try something more conservative and predictable to get your feet wet.

Hope there's many more videos in the future, have watched every one and they've all been great.

Congratulations on 100 videos! I think I’ve seen about 30-ish. I’m from the US and you sound completely British! Laughed out loud when you said ‘car’ and ‘soccer” with an American accent! Love all the commentary- don’t think you talk too much. My only critique is sometimes when you pan the area you go a little too fast and my eyes can’t really adjust.

Congrats Ben! I’ve enjoyed your videos and tips. Especially it truly was your solo cabin video on NCL that inspired me to book the same for myself last May. I had gone through a lot of personal challenges and that cruise was just what I needed to get back to my old self again. I know I already told you this but I’m just wanting to remind you that what you do really is beneficial for so many people in so many ways.

Good on you for posting this even though you consider the experience a failure. It seems you were just a little excited and ambitious rather than researched and prepared. You researched which fish shop to get lunch in more than where to find a place to camp. Your anxiety got the better of you, and that farmer beat down your confidence so it was a double-whammy when you were already feeling tired and unsure of your surroundings. Your adventurous spirit will bounce back and will soon be on your way to new adventures. Thanks for taking us along for the LONG walk. This was just a bump in the road.
