@@houseofaction The leaf were NOT the innocent ones.The uchiha were persecuted and exiled to the outskirts of the village,they were sick of this so they staged a coup de'tat they weren't doing this with evil intentions they just wanted freedom of speech.But Danzo had already planned to kill the Uchiha but he gave itachi a chance to do it himself,for him to let the curtain fall on his own clan.

Whats even sadder is that in the novels it was explained that when Sasuke was facing Itachi he still felt love for him. That was one of the reasons why he was able to break the tsukuyomi. For him his beloved brother also died the same night as his parents. For him, the man he was facing was only a shell of what was once Itachi. That fight was to avenge him too.

@@redbloodbluemoon1423 its in the akatsuki hiden evil flowers in full bloom novel. There Itachi explains that if the victim of the Tsukuyomi has a strong mind and a deep love that person can actually fight the Tsukuyomi. Which means Sasuke still loved Itachi when they fought

Ssuke est un petit idiot traumatisé. Ce n'est pas pare ce qu'on a été violé mentalement que tous les actes qu'on pose après sont inéluctablement acceptables. C'est une chose qu'il ressent le désir de défouler sa colère sur quelqu'un (c'est la suite logique des événements qu'il a subit) et c'est une autre chose que ce désir acceptable. Exprimer ses pulsions de veangeance est un ressenti naturel après avoir eu son fils vécu juqu "à maintenant, exprimer ses pulsions sur tout un village au lieu de cilber les plus concernés voilà qui est non justifiable et non acceptable. Sasuke est tout simplement un est prototype meme du parfait psychopathe. C'est un malade mental tout simplment.

Itachi always said "sorry saskue, maybe next time" but when he died he told him "forgive me saskue, but this is it" referring to the "next time" he always said to him. Itachi was on another level, the love he had for his family and the village.

The manga translation for Itachi’s last words were “Sorry Sasuke... ...this is the last time.” and I think that makes a huge difference and is so much more beautiful compared to the English dub’s translation! (Since Itachi always said “I’m sorry Sasuke, maybe next time.”) I think there are also some versions that translate it to “I’m sorry Sasuke, but there is no next time.”

Why should Sasuke act otherwise? He hates the village but loves his brother. Before he even knew the truth, he didn't give a damn about The Leaf, he left at 13. Besides, even though he loves his beloved big brother, Itachi is still responsible for what Sasuke is now. It was he who chose to kill everyone except Sasuke and to lie to him all his life.

spoilers sasuke in theory could of been written as the hero main lead if kishi wanted the story to go that way...his story is sadder then naruto as a mian character even if sasuke himself is not as flexible interesting engaging or relateabe or likeable per say....but he chose the wrong path even if it sorta understandable and orochimaru manipulated him in the end he chose his path...makes it hard to agree with his choices back then and now especially after this reveal but naruto never gave up on him cause he saw him as his idol his friend his brother masked as a rivalry.. ...which in the end brings sasuke to his senses...its still one of the most emotionally fulfilling endings ever for that reason alone....they may not like each other but the respected one another after kakashi's speech about abandoning comrades and teamwork....sometimes you will disagree and fight with teammates but you can cover each others wounds flaws and if you respect one another you can do anything as a team that you could not alone ...as itachi says to naruto don't bear it all alone....i tried that I failed...sauske sees this...naruto understood it...

Can you bring your little brother, who you love most, hate you? I think not Besides obito only handled the police force, in the novels itachi was the one to kill the higher ups of the clan and some of them are fugaku level or a little bit weaker.

@@razkable uhhh no itachi would have massacred the police force by himself too, by that time, as stated in the light novels, itachi was the strongest uchiha (except for madara/obito) alive, in the novels it was stated that itachi surpassed his father in many areas as a shinobi, also the idea that the strongest uchiha's are inside the military police force is not true at all, again fukagu and his lackeys were the strongest (excluding itachi) of the uchiha's back then and itachi handled them pretty easily, you can argue that fugaku didn't fought but the result will still be the same.

I find it really easy to tell where someone is up to in Naruto just by asking them their opinion of Itachi. The response is usually that he's a rat bastard or a saint among man. Very rarely dose someone take the middle ground.

The sad part is, itachi always said the Mangekyo sharingan comes from killing the person you love most. In order for sasuke to get the mangekyo from killing itachi, he would have to love itachi. The only way that would happen is for sasuke to find out the truth. Even in death he gave sasuke a way to know that he KNEW he loved his brother all along.

she does realize sasuke used naruto to make a bond to become bffs so he could kill him for power then chose not to follow his brother's path...his bond with naruto was fake..thats why in shippuden when they meet hes ok killing naruto on a whim...he has the power does not care about his bond broke it so killing naruto then won't unlock ms...his friendship with naruto was a lie..we saw 1 mission and a few moments but they were not teammates long ..it was not hard to become bffs with sasuke he has no other ties

I don't know why people expected Sasuke to return to the village. They wanted to spill innocent blood amongst the culprits of the coup and hide their evidence afterwards by blaming a 14 year old boy. Sasuke's beloved older brother no less! He was only kept alive thanks to Itachi making sure that he would never find out the truth and turn against the village justifiably. Aside from that, Sasuke is no longer safe in the village. Danzo can break his promise to Itachi. He tried to murder him once and he will do it again. Anything in order to cover his crime. Besides, Tobi got what he wanted : an enraged, vulnerable and naive Sasuke by his side.

wdym? Sasuke doesnt know anything at all. He thougth that itachi evil crazy bastard so he seek revenge for his family/clan. But he still part of a leaf village. Also Itachi saw Naruto and know about him and about Sasuke's connection so we can tell that everything planned. And also he knew that Sasuke strong enough to deal with it and not gone crazy. (there was no other way then killin everyone in uchiha clan tho. Imagine that. All yo family/clan dies and theres one who yo have to kill for that. To get yo revenge. To get rid of this emotions to start new life. And think about it, Itachi also genious, so to kill him yo had to become stronger(mind,body,everything) so that is very great plan in looooong way and in many things.

its crazy how kishi tops himself with the tobi as a mastermind reveal then jiraya vs pain and now itachi vs sasuke this reveal and then how we still feel for the leaf like kakashi even though some may hate them and want to see them burned after the itachi story so it made pain's invasion less harsh then it would of been at any other time in the series but its ironic how we still feel for a little girl in hinata trying to save naruto even after all the itachi sasuke stuff ...a different kind of love is shown there..thats innocence lost...brutal moment even if she did not die it legit would be the most shocking manga moment if not for the fact it happens after about four more of them in such short time it was just the cherry on top that broke the camel's back...its so brutal but our feels were gone long ago by then ..that just kicked the corpse while it was down before we knew the next week she was ok

itachi was sick and prolonged his life with medicine, on the brink of death and blind bcoz of the mangekyo sharingan and still he was wayyyyyy stronger than sasuke. if he really came at sasuke with the intent to kill, he wouldn't have stood a chance. if he had one more move near his death, sasuke would've been done for.

In a way, he would be right to get rid of a few villagers, they are all big hypocrites. It's the same assholes who spit on Naruto, an innocent kid who didn't choose to be what he was, all his life without him knowing why, at least until he learned for the Nine-Tails. Even the other Jinchurikis at least knew why people were afraid of them, Naruto learned the truth when he was 12 years old. And as soon as the same brat saves their ass, they are all there "He is the hero of the village! Make him the Hokage!". Besides, the system that Hashirama hoped to create is completely corrupt. *Spoilers* According to Pain, it was the Leaf that started the Second Great Ninja War. So the village accepted that the Rain was a collateral damage in their territorial extension.

@@alexandrenamor8463 Maybe some of the village elders and ninja did deserve to pay for their individual crimes, but you don't get to decide who lives and who dies. That's what Danzo did instead of trying his hardest to negotiate with the Uchiha. The guy who spit on Naruto as the Nine Tails brat doesn't deserve to die just because Itachi's clan wanted a coup and Itachi chose the village over the clan, looked beyond his clan, his blood, and saw the bigger picture. It's like people who grow up and shoot up a school because they were picked on by a bully or bullies, and/or weren't popular or something... is that "justified"? When they kill the girl who didn't like him, is that justified? Or the kid in the hallway that was next to the bully who gets shot too? What kind of logic is that. No logic, just emotions.

Consider this. Itachi planted a single use, trap activation of one of his most powerful ninjutsu into Sasuke with that same forehead tap he always used to do before the massacre. He transferred a portion of his power to Sasuke with a small contact. He's also stated that he can place someone under genjutsu with a finger, and his ability with genjutsu is great enough that the target would never know. Back before the massacre, he did that tap in conjunction with an apology for not having time to help Sasuke train. How much of Sasuke's prodigal ability from his academy/early shinobi days was either taught to him in a genjutsu, or transferred directly just like that?

Why did Itachi kill everyone even kids? You want to know why? Because a v important person and his best friend requested him something. *”Please save the Leaf Village and the name of the Uchiha”* He killed everyone because he didn’t want to risk the children becoming threats later on. Thus *saving* the Leaf Village. He became the worst criminal in history so that when Sasuke killed him, he would be treated as a *hero*..thus...restoring the *reputation* of the Uchiha Clan.

Funny thing is, if Sasuke's mission is to destroyed the leaf village, wouldn't all the pain and sacrifices that Itachi made would be for nothing? He killed his entire clan to save the village from a war. And Sasuke is now aiming to destroy what Itachi tried to protect (aside from Sasuke himself).
