@@BlackoutTinting , ,, just come across your channel by chance . there's this road incident, a truck with double tire has a piece of rock , size just enough that lodge between the tire, and during high speed on highway , it dislodges, and it FLEW like a projectile, to the vehicle following the truck. the rock broke thru the windshield, clear hole break, hit the wife in the face/head, and died very quickly , in minutes, while the children were horrified and screaming , while the husband tried to apply or administer whatever first-aid knowledge he has. this happen in our province, and ever since this news report , i've taken precautions when driving .. it's very EXHAUSTING to be worried about it.

Man at least the cars you’re trying this stuff on have glass in the USA. We’ve got a bunch of JDM cars and there is always that fear - and even if we got another windshield $$$$$ and 6 months later, who is trust worthy to install a 25-30 year old luxury car windshield? Hopefully someone comes up with a decent product. Enjoyed your video

I live in Utah right next to the great salt lake, one winter with stek and the distortion in the film grew a ton (garage kept car) so I’m thinking it’s salt. Also to remove it it come off a lot easier if you warm it up first. Maybe cut like 4 vertical lines so there is less tention and it won’t rip so easy

I bought a 2013 and the pvs owner had Xpel put on the front and windshield. No problems with clouding on the windshield, but the PPF on the hood had marks from water stains. This was in TX so it held up in the heat for 9-10 years.
@BlackoutTinting
@BlackoutTinting Жыл бұрын
hmm.. Not only does xpel not make a windshield film, there definitely isn't one that would hold up to that much time. The information you received isn't correct, I'm not saying you're lying. XPEL film does hold up great though as far as the ppf.

I paid over $800 Canadian to have film installed on my Model X windshield. It required two pieces as its over 60" high. I was not a happy camper with all the wiper scratches. After a year of squinting I took the big lower piece off. Wasn't that hard to remove but it was a poor investment.

I had you guys install the DYNOflex on my '22 Camaro SS in the spring. 5000 miles later with 5 track days and a rainy road trip to SW Virginia, yep, I'm seeing the same negatives as on the Hellcat. Stains from bugs and chemical spotting that seem to have permanently marred the film (or the ceramic coating). Some streaks from the wipers have also made an appearance. On the positive side it has absorbed rock chips. But for the cost, I'm not sure it was a good investment considering one summers worth of degradation.

I've got one on my garaged show car and it's perfect still which is around 7 months old . Zero staining still optically clear. It's also readily available here In the UK. Also if you use steam it will come off in one piece . I really rate this product highly , I'm open about the slight distortion and my customers have been extremely happy with the product.
