Too much market manipulation. Ppl need to start reporting market bots, they're easy to spot

When bidding on gems like that on the market it’s not about click speed, it’s just rng for everyone who bids when the gem first comes on market. Early on in game I knew someone who tried a click bot to win bids and he had no more success with it than just clicking by hand. My theory is everyone who bids when it initially comes on market just gets a number and then it picks one person to give the sale to. Also you have the Susan sites selling mass amounts of platinum to people to thank for the dead legendary gem market. People using pets to buy platinum from Susan have no reason to run crests and sell legendary gems anymore.

I’m indifferent. I had all 3-5 rated 5 star gems all rank 5….couldn’t stand chasing the next rank. So got all 1 star and 2 star all to level 10 awakened and not having to waste more money is worth it to me.

You can upgrade from a 2 star directly to a 4 star, you don't need to go to 3 star in between. Last week I bought a 3 star BSJ (for 70K!) and was intending to use it to upgrade my rank 4 2 star to a rank 5 3 star. But, then a 4 star BSJ come up in the market for 277K, and I bought that. I was then able to sell my 3 star for 120K. I saved a bunch of plat doing this.

Bought 2 frozen hearts the other day for about 51k plat each. But Today they went back up to 64k which I don't have enough. Hoping to finally get it. It's all I need left to upgrade to a rank 5 5 star

Yeah, I hope they come up with a way to trade gems or get rid of bound gems to increase the market. Also, saw 4 ranked 5 of the new 5 star gem all finishing at the same time, had to be dupes!

I remember watching JTSalbusiness when he talked how much time (and money) it took him to upgrade all 6 gems (back in 2022) to rank 10. Basicly all he was doing during 2-3 weeks was running crested rifts over and over every day all day.. Imagine the amount of crests he used / amount of money spent and scrap needed for 6 full upgrades. Btw, wise choice buying this 4/5 Bile.. Great price! you have to think long term.. When you want to reach certain rezo lvl (e.g. 3000 rezo) and if you take required scrap and copies into consideration you will see, it is CHEAPER to buy a higher rank gem of market and upgrade it lets say to rank 5 than upgrading a lower star gem to rank 6.. and still you may not have the same rezo on it despite it is 1 rank higher.. get it?

Going up to level 5 on a gem also gives you magic find. I'd have bought that seeping bile if I had the plat too.

Blood soaked jade is the hardest to get on my server…I’m probably going to use pearls to do the next upgrade.i need like 10k platinum to get my seeping bile from lvl 4 to lvl 5 with the 2 in my bag

It is a smart purchase. That bile will be worth 320k again I’m a month or so. People are desperate now to sell. Finally a buyers market again. It wears off once the new gem drop rate changes. Plus getting it to rank 5 is a must for the magic find.

Idk what happened to it but recently I can't get the prompt to buy the new 5* as soon as the counter goes to 0 the buy button is grayed out and then the item dissappear before my brain can even process what's happening 😅 idk if p2w players just passively have a few seconds ahead of everyone else or what but after this update I can't buy anything first like I can't even push the buy button before the gem dissappeares like wtfffffff

this happens in my server, (EU); however, some times I am fast enough, my gem is at lvl 4, the problem to upgrade to 5... I have to buy 5 gems moar

The markets are insane at the moment. I managed to get all of my 5/5 star gems to rank 7 last year. Now it’s hard to buy anything these days.

I really don't think that this is "first come, first serve" in terms of who is clicking. I believe it's tossing the people who are actively trying to buy at the time the timer for the sale runs out and tossing them into a pool that is then "bidding" on the gem, which is just the system randomly picking a winner of that pool of people. Im sure a simple message in the partner program could have this clarified.

The most desirable rank 1 Q2 5-star legendary gems, typically selling for 64K platinum or 6400 eternal orb, on the main server where I play, are *very* rarely available because there are multitudes of players who want them for upgrading their existing legendary gems. (Likewise, Q5 5-star legendary gems, when available, disappear very quickly.) I almost never buy legendary gems anymore. I am more than willing to wait for the 5-star legendary gem drops I receive through Elder Rift runs. This approach has produced numerous rank 1 Q4 and-over the last 7 months-three Q5 5-star legendary gems for far, far less money than purchasing them outright from the Market. BTW, I also take screenshots whenever I get a Q5 5-star legendary gem drop. 😜

It is simple economics. Too much demand (overflow of platinum from pets and money) chasing too little supply (1st for purple crests, then further for a 5 star gem drop from the purple crest). Demand will keep increasing, but the game is designed for no more increase in supply for obvious reasons.

What's disgusting about Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal is that you get 1 star gems also. They cost 20 runes to make, you can literally make 5 as a free to play in one week. They shouldn't be a drop when using crests. I feel like vomiting when I use 10 Legendary crests and I see more then 50% of the drop is 1 star Legendary 🤮🤢

Its actually pretty simple to fix. 2o5 only. If there's 0 in existence, game can generate one automatically for a good price, when u buy the gem becomes bounded so u don't resell it. Also, give people more plat. 300 a day is an insult. People should be able to buy at least one 2o5 every 2 weeks with in game rewards. It would give players the chance to get to 2k or maybe 3k in one year of grind, no alt farming

It's the one thing I really hate about this game, the horrific money involved to upgrade 5 star gems, so you can play the game as intended. Unless you are rich and/or stupid (both being preferable), you can never max your hero. Never. It's impossible. The market has been revitalised since the update, gems are now available, but most at max price and they still sell out fast. However, this bump wont last long. Already a guy on my server has roiling consequence (5/5) maxed at rank 10, a few others will follow. Then it will return to being quiet. It's just dumb. The dev wont do anything, they are busy counting their profits. But the negative effects last and this game will always suffer due to the greed of the developer.

Pearls are the way to up your main gems. I’d never save/spend plat on this. Just buy pearls on whichever Pearl bundle you like and do it overtime.

They should do a gem lottery. Leave the button active for 2 seconds and lottery the people who put plat in.

Is the real endgame just try to farm platinum somehow to upgrade gems ? I play since maybe 2 week now, i have already 295 paragon, which is more or less what even old players have, but i have only 450 resonance, and i guess thats why i'm sooooo much weaker than all these old player and/or whales who have 5-10k resonance and do 10x times the damage then what i do. I somehow wonder now, should i just buy 1 or 2 star gems for the 20k platinum i have and use that all to upgrade my own 1-2 stars, or should i really save to buy a 5 star ?

This is bigg problem in Diablo Immortal. Thats why i am focusing on event 50/50 % Elder Rift. Now we have new 5 star gem in game. So good idea to use platinum- crests right now before event finish. This is my tactic. Expensive one tactic But what to do....

Unless you’re focusing on PVP 5 star gems are a waste of resources and time. 2 star rank 10 awakened absolutely smokes in PVE and as a free to play I’ve been averaging 1 slot every month and a half or so. I dumped my 3 star Bile for a rank 10 awakened Viper dumped a 3 star rank 4 Howler for rank 10 awakened Pain Clasp and dumped a 3 star rank 5 Blessing of the worthy for rank 10 awakened Blessed Pebble and rank 10 awakened Power & Command, and just finished a rank 10 awakened Igneous Scorn. PVE my Sader clears just almost as fast as a whale in a full on chicken suit.

One of the reasons I stopped playing. The only way to truly advance your character is to pay A LOT OF MONEY. I'm sorry but even if I had the money, I can't possibly justify it going towards a game. If they just want to have a few millionaires playing this game, so be it. I'm out.

This is why I quit playing and being competitive. Its a money pit for rich people. No way to compete with whales. Not way to progress resonance with some kind of free to play grind. People stop playing thats why there's no gems on the market

How did he even get 329K platinum, for a 'free to play' player? There is nothing easy to get this, either selling high level 4/5 or 5/5 5*, either selling some monster pets. Both being very rare to get. Apart that, no way. Or buying it, of course...

Not enough people are buying eternal crests. That's why there is not too many gems on the market. I buy my crest through packs. So they are bound to me. Not sure what's a good solution. I think having cross server market would help. Maybe Blizz should either allow red crest gems to be sellable too or have the purples crest drop two 5 star crests. I know Blizz would never do that. lol

Crazy why they don't just focus on gem power ONLY to upgrade gems, of course its all to create hurdles for the players so they end up spending for progression. 🤑

No echo, the plat grind for a rank 6 5 star for a f2p is almost impossible without alt farming and doing some shady stuff that could get u banned. U are the perfect example of what a normal player with out spending can achieve. U were like 1400 reso before u started getting crest donations or started spending. Ur account no longer is f2p
