Thank you Olga, for me this was one of the most enjoyable episodes, and I'm sure many of your other dedicated followers understood the demands on you and Rene. What you shared here so warm and candidly reminded me of what I found so enjoyable in so many of your vlogs. Over the last decade, a few of my most closest and cherished friends are now vloggers who share common interests, loves and dreams. What you related about vloggers coming to see their audience as numbers is understandable, and the degree to which anyone who places themself in the public eye like a worm on the end of a fishhook, comes to see is the dark and unrelenting narcissistic elements. Having been fortunate to have known and worked with people who were brave and compelled enough to stand out in the public eye and became hate objects of such darkness, but whom eventually saw and understood what such darkness was and became objective to it, and a couple who derived strength in that knowing, and perhaps that is something you as many understand and become stronger from, but I also wonder to what degree that might caused you to become alienated from you audience? Most of you follower of-course you don't know, but through what you share and how we have come to know you from our perspective, intimately and feel as if we know you more personally than others close to us, and I hope that provides some personal value to you as well, I suspect it might. What you say about being removed from viewers advice, is understandable and something of a professional necessity I assume, but rather then advice, perhaps feed-back from those who enjoy and love you and your work enough to be with you might be something of value we most have to offer. And as such, I would like to offer convey that seeing you and Rene as you are, and your joys and disappointments was much interesting and heart-warming then the practical content that I originally came to your channel for, and has been of great practical and informational value to me. I really appreciated your vast and complete information that surpasses other travelers, but without the ups and downs of your personal side it just would not be as attractive to as many I feel, and I hope you can continue and discover a way to make the love of travel you share also a secure and successful career without it being a grind. What you shared bout your old popular videos holding your channel back resonated with what a friend I made on KZfaq, (Sean Tucker), many years ago. Sean is someone who shares a love of photography and inspiring others by sharing his inspiration became a bit dry when he tried to make it on the video treadmill, and I felt compelled to share how it how he shared that love and inspiration so deeply and personally in a visually artistic way that, that sharing that inspiration in a qualitative rater than quantitative way would be more enriching for him and those who love his insights, and to produce only what he is inspired by in quality he loved producing, and when he did that his channel with only a few videos has flourished beyond his expectations. Perhaps that's something to ponder. From a business and income standpoint Olga, what you related about the return on your investment in blood, sweat and tears, caused to reflect back on some things realized working with the very large and influential media network in America that in addition to syndicating some of the most well-followed person in America and globally, also syndicated advertising quite successfully, and for sometime, and with other friends who are Moderately successful You-Tubers, we've explored the how's and why's as to why a talk radio or TV show host can earn many times more on with the same size audience in radio or TV, and how to better to utilize YT content to produce more return on their demanding efforts. It's something I'm up dialoging about if that might be helpful for you. Thanks again, and stay charged, traveling and sharing.

Hi Olga and Rene. It’s been a while since I watched one of your videos,so I’m happy to have come across this latest one with explanation as to why. I always thought your videos were very interesting and informative and you guys did an amazing job to highlight what would be of interest to your audience, and you always hit the nail on the head. The Turkish productions were, perhaps, extremely successful because many people were hungry for any sort of information regarding Turkey,as they were contemplating a relocation /retirement in that part of the world. In contrast,I’m sure there are many people wanting to do the same in Asia, however, the appeal is not as extensive as Turkey or a European country. This is possibly why the voting numbers were not there. Of course, this is my personal opinion only and stand to be corrected. Wish you both Good Luck in whatever you’re planning to do in the future.

Olga, I'm so glad you are back now. Once you stopped making videos I thought you got fed up or something may have happened. Interesting the algorithm showed it in my reels. I followed you from your very beginnings and love your themes, videography & naration skills that you developed along the way. All sign on all suggestions others posted above and also have a suggestion of my own, from which you (as well as all of us followers) may benefit greatly: how about a life "you & followers" zoom type video at a convenient time across continents where we can "hug/shake hands" but especially chat about anything in a face-to-face, in the moment, life experience? You'll get to see & know many of us, get our vibe & really feel our energy. I know I would greately enjoy this & I think many others would probably feel same way. In the end, you do you, we love you, your personality, honesty, content & everything else you decide to do & be by following your dreams and staying/being the real you. Hoping to see more of you both, wish you from Toronto, Canada, a very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year 2024! 🙏🫠☃️🍁🇨🇦

You are right, some KZfaqrs took years of consistent video uploads using the what so called 'Raw material' concept rather than using catchy titles or thumbnails. Those are types of genuine content KZfaq actually put to their audience nowadays. I can give you an example whenever you can from one of the new KZfaqrs, its Go with Ali - he inherited the concept of unique food vlogging but the way its being created followed the path of Bald and Bankrupt, and Harld Balder. I have also watched certain KZfaqrs who use two different channels, the second ones which mostly contain raw material are longer and surprisingly get more views and recommendations. You know youtube better than us, and how the algorithm works. The key here is, as long as you produce the content that are quality and importantly real, eventually out of many videos one will start to perform extra ordinary and bring in the value to all the efforts you put into it and compensate for all the videos that did not perform well. Being an entrepreneur myself, I totally agree with you - why making videos if you do not enjoy it, and why not trying something new 🙂 Hey, you never know 😉 Good luck and we are here to watch.

Olga, thank you for your brutally honest insight & the reason you took a break from You Tube. I think it’s very courageous of you and many other travel vloggers &/or influencers / content creators rarely say to their audience. What you said in this video, I can truly understand your heart-felt emotions & reasonings and it’s so very powerful. You and Rene are my favorite YT couple and your Turkey videos inspired me to go & visit Turkey & more importantly, inspired me to become content creator through story-telling, & I feel like you’ve already achieved your goal of being a teacher already to your videos, the emotions conveyed in your video story-telling, so thank you for teaching us ❤🦋🙌🙏 Through your video here (in the beginning), I understood why the YT algorithm changes & it explained a lot why I rarely seen your videos. Looking forward to your documentaries - you’re an inspiration for those of us who’re feeling burnt out (I’m one of those people too lol 😂) & how you deal with it, so thank you for being you & sharing it with all of us here 💐

I actually found your channel when I searched for a specific topic about Vietnam, But I never found the answer to my question yet. BTW that wasn't this video.
