My grandmother bought this set for me and my cousin to play with whenever we visited her. We freaking loved this thing. To this day, it is probably still the set I've rebuilt the most times.

People don't seem to remember that this was what legos looked like back in those days. There were only so many types of pieces, and the builders worked with the molds they had. Which meant that as a kid, you could take a set like this one, take it apart, and the parts would be useful for other builds. You would build a set like this, and learn how to use the basic parts to build cool stuff. I just bought my kids some lego hogwarts business, and those pieces are super specific to that set. It would be really tough to take most of those parts and use them to build other stuff, because they are so specialized. I love this look, it's old school, it's accessible, and my young kids don't need an engineering degree to put it together.

It’s actually my favorite set ever, I just love the look, and the cloud city boba fett, obviously I love IG-88 and I love any bounty hunter set, they are just so cool

@@ig-88droid98 the bounty hunter gunship or "The Halo" is also amazing imo. And I also love bounty hunters. Kinda would want to have all of them but still missing a few. (The random from 2013, cad bane, rako hardeen, shahan alama, greedo, fennec and boushh)

I love this set and all sets from 1999 to 2005. I’m not saying I hate all sets after 2005, but, it’s just the pieces that make me wanna go buy every set. The “no curve style”, the slope 1x2 pieces. It’s just phenomenal.

This was my first Lego Star Wars set when I was a kid and I remember it being my favorite thing I owned. In fact it was one of the only ones that survived all this time intact with the instructions 😊

I have the second Boba Fett Slave 1 and it's still my favorite set and it's the set I have the most memories from still. Remember buying it as a kid with a lot of small coins and the cashier had to count for a long time lmao

Back in the day, we used 1x2 plates with the bars on them to carry around Solo. Odd thing is that one wasn't included in the set for that reason.

Second worst value set to even hit shelves in Australia - it was $60 for a 166 piece set... that's 36 cents a piece!

The sets from this time are pretty rough but wow the minifigures are great. Even today! You appreciate how far Lego has come however wrt parts and colour palette.

I know I commented this in one of your previous videos pretty recently, but I thought of an idea that you can do, it can be called something like, "Blast to the Past" where you do reviews on old Lego sets, like this one. I might do it later on my channel, but I don't really have any old sets that are still together. Like if you agree that he should do something like that.

Like the idea of your reviews in front of your collection, but if i could be critical...maybe have them nicely displayed, not stacked on top of each other (i know you have more sets then you can display.) Even if its just a couple of bays directly in view of the camera that are set up nicer... just an observation :)

I found the instructions for this online and built my own red and white version out of peices I had ... I also had to improvise the wings and cockpit window and controls panels but turned out looking kinda like this set though a little more crude
