Good afternoon Sir. Your videos has really helped me. With one month preparation i was able to pass. My first attempt when I had not met ILETS Advantage. I had L8.5, R6.5, W6.5 and S6.5 but getting to know IELTS Advantage. For a month now, I wrote the exams and again and i received my results as L8.5, R7.0, W7.0 and S7.0. Yes, after I looked over all the different strategies, it became much easier to complete the reading section, especially on MCQs, Summary Completion from the words given on the box, and T/F/NG (Fact) vs Y/N/NG (Opinion).

I wrote IELTS 5 years ago and I passed it all with 6.0. I had to write this academic again in June 2023 and I got 8.0 -S 7.0-L 6.0-R and writing 7.0 with 7.0 overall band . I had less than 2 weeks to prepare. Thank you so much . My challenge has always been reading

I took the test a few days ago and got 8 overall (R: 8.5 - L: 8.5 - S: 8 - W: 7) thanks to all of your advice. The time limit is your worst enemy in writing. I didn't manage to proofread task 1 properly. For task 2, I think I didn't give enough specific examples to achieve a higher score band. Anyway, I got the band I expected. Much much appreciation for what IELTS Advantage and the teams have been doing.

I feel compelled to come here and say thank you soo much sir for all your hard work.I watched many of your videos before my test and I can't thank you enough for yor help in everything. My test date was on the 10 and got my results a week ago. I got overall band 6.5 and this is huge for me.Your tips and your encouragement on practice helped a lot.I wanted to take a computer test but I was struggling with reading. @@tayba9923 Hi! I knew that the writing section was my weaker point in the IELTS exam. I tried to perfect areas that were my strong points- I practiced reading and listening sections every single day and watched a variety of videos for the writing section so that I could familiarise myself with the basic requirements for both sections of writing. For instance, I knew that task 1 of the writing section required an introduction, the main implication of the data, and a few important numbers in both sets of data. I tried to focus on the STRUCTURE of the writing section instead of the content. Maybe it is not the best route, but it helped me out at least :) good luck!

Thanks so much for your advice and recommendations. One question is that although most of the time, I can manage to score 7.5 and 8.0 in Reading tests, I am still mesmerized by that fact that many others are able to finish their Reading tests in just 40-45 minutes and get a band 9. One of these individuals are actually my colleagues. Would you mind helping me gain a better understanding of this phenomenon. They score kind of poorly in Writing and Speaking tests (6.5) but maximum in Reading and Listening. I mean, all Reading texts are complex and contain lots of technical words, then how can they manage to understand all of these in just a short amount of time with 100% correct answers

Dear chris make a video on how to keep calm and focused in main exam. I did terrible in reading 2 times due to my nervousness in exam. Hey Chris, I'm struggling ALOT with matching sentence endings questions. Please try Academic series 15- Test 3- Passage 3. There are no good explanations on this topic anywhere on the internet. Even when I try to solve those questions without a timer, though the online keys point out that THIS is the location, there is no way I can tell that it's the line that's paraphrased. No matter how hard I try, I never succeed in finding where the sentence is in the paragraphs. Please try out the passage I'm pointing out. Please make a video on this topic. My exam is just in a couple of days, not sure if your video will be out by then, but your video can help many others who are struggling like me in this question type.

Work on the basics with respect to the language in general. Grammar is constantly overlooked. Stick to simple ideas and work on substantiating them with relevant, observational explanations and examples in the main body/content of the essay in particular. Report is easy if you focus on highlights and summarizing for the charts/graphs. Process diagrams and maps are way easy and emphasis is more on comparison. IF going for GT, letters are easy and they just need to get the message across and pointers are given that just need to be answered. Cheers!

Chris, i had my speaking test today. I couldn't do well in follow ups. The examiner had to repeat her questions plus she wasn't satisfy with my answers in last part. Will it affect my bands?

I would like to know if my answer is correct or not. For example for not more than 2 words and/or number. The answer is: The students and if i write on Students. will my answer be wrong or right? OR say if the answer is only "STUDENTS" and i am writing "THE STUDENTS" will that be marked as right/wrong? Example 2: do we need to write "by" like the fees to be made: by bank draft or just bank draft will be considered as correct answer? I have be practising reading and these minor doubts are really annoying or rather demotivating me. Please suggest me the right tip Thanks

Hi there, you should follow the instructions given on the exam. So you will need to write TRUE, FALSE, NOT GIVEN in capitals (not T, F, NG or true, false, not given) on your answer sheet, and for YES / NO / NOT GIVEN questions, write YES, NO, NOT GIVEN in capitals (not Y, N, NG or yes, no, not given).
