A different look at one of the hardest punchers in the world today! With a perfect record of 18-0 - 18 KO's it's not surprising that people often miss more of the subtle parts of Beterbiev's game but he had a phenomenal amateur career and is very well-rounded. How do you all think his upcoming fight with Anthony Yarde will go and a potential fight with Bivol in the future? www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

Glad someone has finally done a video focusing on his boxing ability. Would be surprised if Yarde makes it beyond 6; Bivol fight very hard to judge - seems a genuine 50/50. Hope you can do Roy Jones in his prime one day. cheers

@@philipvjones397 if the fight with Bivol ever happens, I am curious about what bookmakers will say. Because people tend to see Beterbiev just as a monodimensional heavy fisted boxer. People would say a technicolor beats a puncher. But Gvodzyk was a technician and he retired after Beterbiev. Sure Bivol is more dynamic than Gvodzyk, but I agree with you is a half half chance. Just hope it does not happening when Beterbiev is 45....

I have always felt that Beterbiev’s ring IQ is often overlooked because of his wins coming by way of stoppage. Beterbiev has shown that he’s more than just a puncher but a thinking fighter. If there’s anyone that can match Bivol’s boxing skills it’s Beterbiev.

Nobody can beat beterbiev. The closest thing to beterbiev bivol has fought is Joe smith jr and Joe smith is not as smart as beterbiev or as powerful. Beterbiev isn’t “slick” but he has a solid jab for defense and he always keeps his hands up

@@LK-bn5mqmost importantly and also the most overlooked is beterbievs foot work. He makes it one of his main focuses in training. His ability to stalk, move around the ring, and cutoff the ring when looking to finish his opponent, is what makes him so dangerous. He already has 2 cannons for each arm, with his footwork, now they are mobile.

Getting a KO is the product of a lot of things coming together correctly. Fight strategy, ability to time correctly and pressure the opponent and or wear him down. Beterbiev is excellent at all of those things. He also has a really good trainer and excellent strength and conditioning coach. Beterbiev is the perfect storm of a boxer and the KO's are the proof of that fact.

Beterbievs style reminds me a lot of Joe Louis. He’s really the modern day light heavyweight version of Joe Louis. Obviously Joe Louis is the greatest boxer ever that’s not what I mean, but when Beterbiev throws his hands it just looks like Joe Louis to me. He has the same methodical, balanced, innate killer aggression as well as the ripped, solid physique with the broad shoulders and big forearms and wrists. Both have punching power for days and both are so technically sound boxers.

I, as Ukrainian, find it disturbing to praise Russian fighter. I'm emphasizing it, RUSSIAN fighter, regardless of what Bob Arum tries to make Beterbiev a Canadian, he's still Russian who didn't say nothing about war that Russia is doing against Ukraine, who is friend with Ramzan Kadyrov. He may be a great boxer, but it doesn't matter, because he is Russian and, therefore, does not deserve to be praised and promoted (it ain't a racism or nazism, it's just a matter of moral)

@@Keboomrang it does not matter, Beterbiev is still Russian, still a friend of dictator and Putin's puppet Ramzan Kadyrov and, therefore, still is partially responsible for the Russo-Ukrainian war. If you were in Ukraine, you would understand me and would stop writing such comments. Crazy how people still can't understand that everyone who has(or has had during Putin's reign) Russian citizenship is responsible for this war, whether or not they support it openly. It's not Putin's war against Ukraine, it's Russian war. Russians are killing us and bombarding our houses and energy infrastructure, not Putin himself. It's the same as if you said that only Hitler is guilty of WW2, not German Nation. While countries admit Russia as a terrorist state(and its citizens and supporters are citizens and supporters of terrorist state, aren't they?), some are still trying to find good Russians. Read the news about Ukraine and countless atrocities there caused by Russians, maybe then you'll change your opinion.
