I always forget how Carbon wanted to mix the edge of Most Wanted 2005 with stoic night city of Underground 1 and Neon playground of Underground 2. This mod just makes it more obvious.

Watching blackbox era of handling engine you can just feel you are driving really fast and the car is so responsive compare to the current NFS. The responsiveness, motion blur, and the map design seem so much more engaging looking.

Idk why modern nfs games can’t get a cohesive sense of speed. Like the sense of speed is much better in Payback/ Hea, but physics are obviously better in Unbound especially with the new Audis. Also yeah sticking to real locations really limits their ability to make an engaging map for racing.

@@xzraiderzx308 is definitely weird feeling that we are experiencing. I played heat and I love almost everything about it but the cars feel out of your control sometimes. Unbound made it worse in my opinion, the bouncing and snap oversteering, I'm trying the new Audi at the moment and it's definitely an improvement.

This mod is amazing, but traffic in canyon races is HORRIBLE. If developers removed traffic in canyon events it's for some reason... It's a great achievement for modding community, but absolutely useless because it ruins the 1 vs 1 atmosphere and it's annoying in gameplay because the AI doesn't evade the obstacles. I don't know what made the autor think it's a good idea to add a lot of traffic in the canyon, but he should add some patch to remove that crap.

The trick I used to beat og Carbon harder one lap races was pit manoeuvering the faster, more skilled ai at the start of the race and just beelining it to the finish line. I wonder if that one is still applicable

The problem with compilation mods like these is the quality of the mods can differ wildly from car to car. Some cars like the BMW have performance values and handling that are WAYYY different than others. Not all cars will have the same level of customization. Etc Etc.

Yeah I hate those differences When I mod Carbon or even MW, I prefer to use cars that are ported from the blackbox era of nfs I hate modern cars in older nfs but this is only my opinion Using Palmont Imports mod in nfsmw is a example of how to add cars without breaking the differences with vanilla cars

Was never a big fan of Carbon, the whole having a crew mate racing with you isn't my style. Also I found the whole of concept of racers owning territory absurd.
