The max the Warriors can offer a free agent is the Tax payer mid level exception which 5.3 million. Jonas is coming off a contract where he was getting payed 15.5 million a year, so unless he’s willing to take a discount to come play for the Warriors I don’t think they can afford him. If money wasn’t an issue I think he would be a good pickup for the Warriors, I just don’t see it being likely do to their financial restrictions.

If that was 2023, I would've done that but now I don't know if GS can even extend Moody when we have Kuminga's contract to extend after next season.

Podz came in as a 20 year old rookie and literally led the Warriors in +/- for the season (including Steph) He was playing so good that Kerr, a coach who notoriously doesn’t trust rookies, benched a franchise legend in Klay in favor of him. Podz isn’t perfect and he still has a lot to improve on, But he pretty clearly showed in 1 season, that he’s already better than Moody. I like Moody as a prospect but in order to make a trade you HAVE to trade someone. Moody just so happens to be the odd man out. It is what it is man.

@@Tybantu I never said +/- was everything, but for you to dismiss a 20 year old rookie leading a veteran led team in +/- minus over the course of a full season sample as meaningless is ridiculous and dense. While it doesn’t mean everthing, it does mean something. It gives off “I’m an old hoop head fuck your advanced stats” type of vibe. If that’s you, that’s cool bro, but the eye test matches the stats. Podz is clearly the better player. Being the biggest postive on your team over that much of a sample doesn’t happen by accident. I’m not saying best +/- equals best player, but he’s obvloiusly a good player that impacts winning. Otherwise Kerr wouldn’t have played him as much as he did, he wouldn’t have took Klay’s starting spot if he was a scrub. Something Moody couldn’t do with a 2 season head start. Heck, Moody couln’t even take GPII’s spot. I’m not trying to make this a Podz vs Moody thing, but people discrediting Podz is always so strange to me. Podz is obviously the better player right now.
