Apparently he is a decent dude. My ex told me a story that I have no idea if it is true, but she said Billy Idol was playing a show for disabled kids, put on by Neil Young (those are a real thing) and that all the kids were behind the stage, with the audience in front. She said Billy Idol was absolutely hammered, but said something like "This show is for the bloody kids! Turn it round!"and they played their part of the show with their backs to the audience and facing the kids. No idea if that is true, but I want to believe it. Drunk Billy Idol caring for the children is just something I want to believe in.

One reason this song hits so hard is we had already heard it earlier but didn't realize it. When Julia's sister makes her and Robbie kiss earlier in the movie the orchestra plays Grow Old With You! So at the end when this scene happens it's already familiar! That's called good film making!

this song gets me ballin tears everytime because i lost my girlfriend 3 years ago to suicide and all the things he says in the lyrics are things i would’ve done for my girlfriend . i miss her everyday . i swear sometimes i feel like it’s a dream and i can just wake up and it’ll all be okay. and that she will be here next to me. but i wake up and realize she is gone and i just dreamed of her . i get sad and mad and just wish that dream can be forever . the only time i get happiness is when i dream of her and she is always smiling in my dreams . i’ve had dreams to where we are together as a family and the things she has missed out on . when she died a huge part of me died too . lisa loeb was one of her favorite music artists to listen to . if you don’t know who that person is . she has a real calming voice . that’s why. i love 90s music . sorry everyone i just miss her terribly and this song definitely doesn’t help . goodbye

@@krittyy814 it’s not . i still have dreams of her even though i’m in a new relationship . and frankly tbh this woman im with now is she verbally abusive . she never wants to do anything with me . been three years and we don’t even go on dates cause she is a home body . but she never wants to dl anything outdoors and i mean anything. my girlfriend who killed herself had that spark and connectjon with me on a whole different level. she vibed and laughed at my jokes which i loved cause it felt good when you could be yourself around someone you love . to this day if i could have three wishes one of them would be to have her back . i just want to know what she was thinking the moments before doing it.

What happened to the characters of Robbie and Julia after the movie? Maybe this is how the future panned out. Billy Idol told his record company contacts about Robbie and his songwriting. Robbie became a professional songwriter. He is still married to Julia. They live in the same town where they first met, and then raised their family there. As for Glenn, he would have lost all his money in the stock market crash of 1987.
