Will Eisner's Invisible People is one of the most tragic and beautiful stories I ever read.

So amazing to think that back in the 20's & 30's we have some much talent. Eisner style was great.

The man whose style became the peak of excellence to me the first time I saw it. Someone I met and followed around until he signed my autograph book. That looked at me and said ' I was a very persistent young man 👞' ♥️ this guy forever and ever. The man who invented the way we think about the 'comic book '

I remember reading and loving The Spirit when I myself was a 12 year old cretin from Sweden. It was run in the locally popular Fantomen (The Phantom) and it became one of my favourite secondary stories. I loved the stylish, self assured and confident art work which I think you could say was even post modern in style. It felt very fresh even if it was probably a few years old when I read it. I'm sure it influenced me somewhat into doing my job today which is in visuals (vfx) for movies. Thank you Will Eisner for sharing these stories and this youtube channel too!

Excellent interview ! I’ve been reading Will’s Spirit through Warren and later the mid70’s at Kitchen Sink! I didn’t know it the time but Will showed me the rich world of narrative stories and WE are all the better for it ❤👍🎯😎 Godspeed to Will Eisner!💎

Will Eisner, Jack Kirby and Carl Barks were three of my all time favorite comic artists, I had first discovered Eisner’s The Spirit as a kid in Jules Fieffer’s book The Great Comic Book Heroes which I first discovered as a kid back in the 1970’s, a lot of the Golden Age superhero stories that book reprinted were memorable, but Eisner’s The Soirit really was like nothing else I had ever seen before, I didn’t start collecting them until Kitchen Sink started reprinting them back in the 1980’s and then I collected the DC Spirit Archives and some of the earliest original 1940’s Sunday Spirits and Golden Age issues of Police Comics which reprinted some of the Suday Soirits as well, Eisner himself was kind enough to sign several of those back issues at Comic-Con International during the early 2000’s for me and he was an unforgettable man to talk to as well on topics from Lou Fine and Reed Crandall and almost anything else and was always fun to watch during the Eisner Awards presentations and I still miss him.
