A group of men arrive with intent to arrest Lawrence (Benicio Del Toro), suspecting him to be a werewolf, but Sir John Talbot (Anthony Hopkins) scares them off.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Universal Studios resurrects the classic lycanthrope with this tale of a man who experiences an unsettling transformation after he returns to his ancestral home in Victorian-era Great Britain and gets attacked by a rampaging werewolf. When Ben Talbot (Simon Merrells) vanishes into thin air, his brother Lawrence (Benicio Del Toro) returns to his family estate to investigate. Upon reuniting with his estranged father, Sir John Talbot (Anthony Hopkins), however, he discovers a destiny far darker than his blackest nightmares. Ben is dead; the victim of a savage attack by a beast that keeps the superstitious locals cowering in fear every time the moon shines bright in the sky. Shortly after discovering his brother's true fate, Lawrence swears to Ben's wife, Gwen (Emily Blunt), that he will bring her late husband's killer to justice. As a young boy, the untimely death of his mother caused Lawrence to grow up before his time. Though Lawrence had previously attempted to bury his pain in the past by leaving the quiet Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor behind, he discovers that you can't outrun fate when he's attacked by the very same nocturnal beast that claimed his brother. Not even recently arrived Scotland Yard inspector Aberline (Hugo Weaving) can dream up a rational explanation for the gruesome spell cast over Blackmoor, yet rumors of an ancient curse persist. According to legend, the afflicted will experience a horrific transformation by the light of the full moon. Now, the woman Talbot loves is in mortal danger, and in order to protect her he must venture into the moonlit woods and destroy the beast before it destroys her. But this isn't a typical hunt, because before the beast can be slain, a simple man will uncover a primal side of himself that he never knew existed. Screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker pens a film directed by Joe Johnston and featuring creature effects by special-effects makeup legend Rick Baker.

Aside from the fact, that this movie is absolutely gorgeous: Wow, Benicio looks so damn good in this movie! It's a pity, that in his films, he sometimes has to wear a beard or grow his hair longer (although he looks good there too) because, like in this film, he looks the prettiest. Short hair (whether curly, like in James Bond, or straight, like here) and no beard. Simply stunning, simply gorgeous.

Sir John defending Lawrence from the lynch mob seems a lot less fatherly once we realize that he wants Lawrence to be the scapegoat for his attacks and is just making sure that he'll be around to transform and go on a rampage during the next full moon.

@@jaquanscott1890 actually he did. Because when he met Gwen, she reminded him of his mother. Later Ben told that he's gonna leave the town with Gwen, he couldn't stand the thought of it. So he got drunk and very angry and killed Ben same night.

damn that's a Savage servant! and just like a true sniper you couldn't spot a tail of him up there on that roof but he could see them and was prob aiming too just waiting for a reason to pull lol. I love that how they all look up in "oh fuck" expression but when the camera zooms up you expect to see someone with a rifle aiming at them but there is no one In sight. it gave hint to just how good his servant was. he didn't have to be in view to pluck all eight of y'all

Did you not watch the whole scene.... Hopkins was bluffing. By taking the first shot and missing he has set the precedence that he's not afraid to shoot them and when his son thanks him he goes "you can thank Singh... when he returns from the village. You're not the only one who can act"

I always get annoyed that on RDR2 video game not any mod any simple mod about werewolf.. We have vampires even and no werewolves , would be so much fun , in game always lol
