if this was to be used to spin a water turbine, some of the power its generating could be used for a electric pump for the waste water. that'd be cool.

Actually I think the description is wrong saying 25 million liters per day. It's probably supposed to be 2.5 million liters per day.

When the pump is first started, does the pressure valve operate electrically? And is the pump waterproof?

Our pumps run with out the need for any fuel or electricity, there is nothing in the pump that needs to be kept water proof
