Even if you interpret this as they meant it - "stop associating with drag queens" - it's still weird. Not all drag queens are gay for one thing. And it also conjures up a mental image of a huge army of drag queens all dressed up, just hanging around with straight men, doing nothing "worse" than having a few drinks or watching football in a companionable sort of way. Seems rather sweet and harmless to me.

@@Scifi4life @Dr Samuel Hayden secret gaming channel by 'being taught it', what is actually happening is 'being taught LGBTQ people EXIST', not that they should be LGBTQ lol. Like I swear straight people will hear that LGBTQ inclusivity is being taught in schools and assume kids are being brainwashed into being gay. NO, they're being taught LGBTQ+ people EXIST, and to be kind and accepting toward them because they're inevitably gonna come across them, or may turn out to be a part of the community themselves. Considering how much bullying there is in school's towards our community, that education is necessary. And last time I checked, kids are allowed to know straight people exist, they're allowed to know their parents are married, and allowed to watch disney movies with heterosexual couples who kiss and get married, and they know that people assigned female at birth can be girls and people assigned male can be boys. They know straight and cis people exist, so why on earth should they not also know LGBTQ+ people exist? There's literally zero explanation for why LGBTQ+ inclusivity should not be taught in school other than literal h0m0ph0bia/transph0bia. There is nothing inherently sexual or inappr0priate about being qu33r, and kids already know about cishet gender and sexuality.

That's how some children are born as a boy while having XX chromosomes. Sometimes a gene for male sex gets attached to an X chromosome. Some XY children have androgen insensitivity syndrome, which means they never develop a male body. So, considering how complex the whole thing is, it is fully possible that transgender is a form of intersex. Just one we haven't grasped yet. As a result, they NEED to see oppression because it's not there, and they can't acknowledge oppression of people that are not them. That oppression is just them getting what they deserve for not following God's will. This rings as earnest for me. This is exactly as unhinged as I've seen in the US. "Attacking Christians" is code for "doesn't allow theocracy," and unfortunately it works excellently on their intended audience (authoritarian Christians). It's easier to watch with someone who sees it as simply baffling, bumbling, and poorly executed. Being inside the context of US culture and having grown up with one foot in the Religious Right movement (I got out, thankfully, but my family did not), it can be incredibly difficult to stomach. They want us dead but are too genteel to say it, so they produce things like this. Then cis/het Americans who are used to the background noise say, "oh just ignore them. they're harmless!" The continuous assault on the rights we've been able to get suggests otherwise.
