The best thing this show did was give those three a worthy ending as not just paranoid conspiracy geeks but true heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice!

Scully really needed to work on opening up about her feelings. Her father, her sister, Pendrell, The Lone Gunmen, they all died not know how she really felt about them.

Skinner's line "It's the least I could do" said it all. It was kind of government's aknowledgement of Lone Gunmen, despite coming from just one man and not being official one.

In the years since this episode, Mitch Pileggi publically admitted that originally he supported the decision to kill Lone Gunmen off, as he had strong real dislike for the three characters, but that he has since deeply regretted that decision. Just like Skinner did in the end. He also said that he made private peace with Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood and Dean Heglund and that they remain good friends until this day.

@@jlesko1063 there was a lone gunman tv show that got canceled. Fox didnt want the lone gunmen back so they had to kill them off.

Something that HAS BEEN BUGGING ME is... Who the F sound edited this season as they did a p!ss poor job! I mean... WHAT IS WITH the OVERLY LOUD foot steps of EVERYONE in this season? Clunk clunk clunk clunk of shoes on cement, tarmac, hard floors, wooden floors, ladders, even goddamned hard soil! JEEEEEEZ! EVERY season up to this, it sounds NATURAL but, watching season 9 it's just OVERBEARING! 🤨😒
