Reacting to Sonic Prime 1x2 THE YOKE'S ON YOU Reaction
IM SO EXCITED to watch this! I've played all the Sonic PS2 Games. From Sonic Heroes, to Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Riders. Time to see what Sonic Prime is all about! In Episode 1, we start in Green Hill with Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Big and even Shadow. Dr Eggman wants the Paradox Prism to create Eggman Empire! Sonic gets transported to a new world, New Yoke City where he finds Nine, Rusty Rose, and the Chaos Council. For Episode 2, we see Sonic vs Shadow! Then we see Knuckles and Rouge's flashback, and they help save Sonic and Nine from Rusty Rose and Mr Doctor Eggman. Sonic also causes a power outage in New Yoke City, inspiring the rebellion. The spinning blue ball in the center of shadow’s vision was sonic spin dashing

It might be a bit confusing the way this episode presented it, but the blue energy wave Shadow felt was caused by Sonic spindashing Eggman's mech into the ground. Something we saw in the first episode. Chronologically, this was earlier in the day before Sonic broke the prism. Because of that, Shadow had a vision showing him the future where Sonic was running in that hamster ball in New Yoke. Then Shadow tried to confront the cause of the wave: Sonic, which then led to their fight.

OHHH, that actually makes a lot more sense. i was confused at first how he experienced the blast wave, but then arrived later to the cave. thanks for clarifying it for me :D the back and forths from past and present with all the flashbacks are confusing at first 😅

New Yoke is basically a world where Sonic pretty much never existed and thus, Eggman didn’t have as much resistance in taking over the world. Why an alternate Shadow hasn’t shown up will be explained in a later episode

I LOVE the Shadow vs Sonic fight at the start, what a fire way to kick off an episode and yeah the last tree being a symbol of hope for the rebellion is really sad to see but also a really cool way to represent the characters motives

SAME!! like i literally did not expect this show to put in so much effort into their fight cinematics, but they went above and beyond! and facts, that tree being the last hope is cool but sad

The thing with Shadow, I think when your skating around and a blue shockwave happens nearby I’d also guess Sonic had something to do with it. Then he sorta admits it. With Sonic being late, it’s partially his fault since he refused to tell Shadow what the “mission” was. It seems Sonic likes to mess around with Shadow during these fights and it sometimes leads to the fight extending longer than it needs to.

It is actually Sonic fault he broke the Prism, and Shadow felt the shock wave of it before it evem happened amd tried to stop him from doing it.

The way Sonic ran in circles so fast he knocked out the city's power is surprisingly similar to how he knocked out the power grid in his first paramount movie

Shadow isn't as fast as sonic, but he's about as close as it gets, and with the air shoes they're mostly matched (unless Sonic starts going all out). Key word mostly.

I still hope shadow will be characterized well in season 2, like you don't know how much i don't like how shadow has been characterized in recent years
