But the fact Floyd changed his style into a completely different fighter is very impressive. Completely different mechanics, movement, punch placements and a whole different defense. Guy had two careers with two different fighters in him. PrettyBoy > MoneyMay.

@at3852 Yes he changed due to hand injuries but mostly for longevity in the sport. He started making too much money as " MoneyMay". Couldn't afford to lose or his health. He knew he developed impeccable defense so he went with that, basically a high level fast "defensive counter puncher" and the competition couldnt handle it.

But not one person ever rocked mayweather TWICE in a round, and had him hanging on tight to Shane arm, or else would have got stopped….and that was an older shop worn Mosley at that, who had everyone sweating for that moment 😅 I wish they fought in their light weight days, for I would actually been more impressed with Mayweather gettin a W then if he even could have even pulled it off at the time…

Floyd doesn't just make in-fight adjustments, he makes in-round adjustments. Huge Shane fan, but he forgot how Floyd adjusted in the last 30 seconds of round 2 in their fight. Floyd re-established himself and it was a WRAP for the rest of the fight.

Crawford is a great fighter, great talent, etc. Can't deny that. However, I think people are too quick to act like Mayweather couldn't hang with Crawford simply because Crawford has the recency bias. Mayweather and Crawford are so natural in the ring that it is hard NOT to compare them. I just think people forget. Money May fought at a slower pace, but didn't waste. Pretty Boy fought the way Crawford fights now. It would be a competitive fight where I'd lean towards Floyd to control, but Crawford would keep it close.

Be a great matchup for sure. Hoping somebody can give Crawford a run for his money because right now he is head and shoulders above the competition. Bud Crawford is amazing and a true boxing legend that could be great in any era. For those casuals who says Floyd runs. He stays in the pocket with head movement and on the ropes with the shoulder roll. He threw them hands against canelo in the pocket and against cotto blow for blow. Grandmaster definitely is the word. Shane got one good punch in on Floyd and then Floyd made a display of him

Crawford would've been a hell of a fight for the "147 version of Floyd". That's not suggesting Crawford absolutely beats Floyd but I think we have to start including him in the "Discussion". Floyd similarly was pitted against Ray Leonard when he got to 147 (and the arguments haven't stopped since). Same applies here.

I don't think Crawford beats neither version of Floyd because "Pretty Boy" Floyd was 130/135lbs. Offensive minded, before the hand problems. Not to mention Crawford at 130/135 wasn't as good 140/147 Crawford. Then at 147 "Money" Mayweather was too seasoned and sharp for anybody. He offset everything you tried to do. It's actually disrespectful to Floyd to all of sudden compare Crawford to him. And if mfers really believe it, why weren't they saying that shit prior to the Spence fight??? Prisoners of the moment is all going on. Crawford ain't better than PRIME Pacquiao at 130-147. He won't necessarily beat prime Shane Mosely, prime Miguel Cotto. Prime Julio Caesar Chavez destroys him, Sugar Ray Leonard destroys him. Thomas Hearns destroys him. Duran destroys him. Does he beat Aaron Pryor at 140 or Macho Comacho at 135??? I don't think so. Floyd is GREATER/BETTER than ALL of these guys so Crawford can't compete

I think it's the other way round. Money Mayweathers steals a controversial/split decision. I don't think Pretty Boy Floyd's aggression would do much for him, not with the power he has. Gamboa, Kavaliauskas, Spence couldn't get to Crawford so I can't see what any form of Mayweather could do offensively to stop him.

Sorry folks, but Bud wins that by late stoppage! Everyone who thinks Floyd can't be touched better talk to Spence. For some reason to this day that sparring session between him and Floyd hasn't been (and never will) be released for others to watch. If Spence who is slow, predictable, and repetitive can put hands on Floyd, so can Crawford. The only thing Floyd has slightly over on Bud is speed, their ring IQ is even and Bud has more power

naw floyds wins either way. crawford is not a seek and destroy fighter either shane. Crawford will box you and floyd is the best defense fighter ever and his offense and pin point punching is unmatched. crawford special skill is when you open up and start throwing in combinations he looks to throw in between your shots and looks to land big but Floyd don't open up enough because he plays defense also floyd has great legs it would be a boxing match and floyd would win

I only see 3 fighters giving Floyd an butt whopping. Roberto Duran at 135, gives Floyd pressure he has never seen before. He would force Floyd to go toe to toe. And with Duran being an great Defensive fighter himself he would make Pretty Boy Floyd miss alot of punches. Tommy Hearns kills Floyd at Welterweight with his insane reach. The only chance Floyd has against Hearns is to slug it out with him. And Money at 147 doesn't have that kind of power to down Hearns. Hearns boxes his his head off then finishes him with that thunder right hand in the later rounds for a TKO. And last but not least Pernell Whitaker. Just as slick if not slicker than Floyd. These two guys boxing at 130 is probably one of the greatest chess matches in boxing history.
