I usually have like 4-5 books going at the same time: audiobook, non-fiction natural science book, non-fiction business book, fiction standalone, and a long fiction series. I think of each like a subject studied in school, where they can all be consumed at the same time but don’t lose their meanings.

I am always reading more than one book at once. I have hit double digits at this stage. I would not recommend hitting double digits.

Instead of focusing on the content, I was just thinking about the fact that Leonie had to set up the camera, start recording, walk around a bit and then run back to the camera and stop recording 😂

Me too! I started wondering instead whether she has someone else do the camera work. Things like setting up the camera, then walking out and shutting the door, then opening the door and walking in... 😅

The early fall vibes + the nonfiction/fiction combos are the perfect atmosphere! I love to combine a nonfiction audiobook with plenty of fantasy/fiction especially during the fall :)

Your reading vlogs are so cute! I like the cool little transitions you do. Just discovered your channel recently, but I like how artsy it is. I think this is the first of your reading vlogs I've seen, and I like it a lot! The Gilded Wolves looks super good, too, might have to add that one to my list. Your thoughts on Man's Search For Meaning are really interesting, as well. It's also funny to hear you mention Silicon Valley, cuz that's right next to me, haha. But your vlogs are goals, keep up the good work! I've also seen so much about Mexican Gothic, I might have to add it to my list.

Mexican Gothic fits even better in November 2nd because that day is Día de Muertos, day of the death, would be the translation. That day we’re all about calacas and honoring our departed loved ones by making altares and eating a lot of Pan de Muerto (bread of the dead) it’s a very delicious bread. And I’m sorry if I made any mistakes, english it’s abously not my first lenguage, I’m from México. I love your videos, Leo, you’re really nice 💛✨

@@TheBookLeo I wanted to thank you for low-key encouraging me to start reading fantasy! It was the genre I didn't want to come close to, but seeing you read lighter fantasy and overall taking your time (a month sometimes) to read a novel encouraged me to pick up "Silver In the Wood" - 100 page folklore-inspired novella, which I loved and I even picked a sequel yesterday! Fyi, main characters give me such Hannibal&Will vibes, I think you'll love it too!

I'm really incapable of ordering only 1 book online and not 2 or 3. It's a problem lol. I really enjoy your vlogs, especially when there are field trips involved. It's turned fall here thankfully, so I was going to get into the season and start Mexican Gothic too for the book club. Also was going to try Michael McDowell's The Elementals. I've been ready for Halloween since August.

This may sound like a cliche but that idea that you're not in control of what's happening around you but you do have an influence on your attitudes towards it really helped me getting through my depression 2 years ago and has been having a really positive impact on my life ever since and still to this day. At the time I just wrote it off as unrealistic since it's rather hard to be positive when everything around you was so depressive but I still tried to follow it as there was really not much else I could do and I'm glad that I did because now I'm nowhere near as gloomy and negative as I was. I also managed to pull my friend who was also in a similar situation out of it as well thanks to my changes of attitudes. I really ejoyed listening to your opinions on these things so I'd love to see more of them but I am also aware that some people might find them boring lol.

The non-fiction books sounded really interesting! I noticed that you (as well as other channels about reading books) mainly talk about fiction books, so it was interesting to hear what you thought about non-fiction books. My attitude towards books is pretty much the opposite of yours; I mainly read non-fiction and when I am really in the mood I read fiction books haha. Have you considered doing reviews about those books? it would be pretty cool to hear your thoughts.
