I got introduced to that philosophy from being a Wu-Tang fan. It’s not a religion it’s more of a philosophy and way of life. Specifically for black men.

I first got my 120 on the block from Hassan, I was 12 . From then on I had to recite and build on the daily mathematics. If I got it wrong I was hit and put in headlocks lol. Today is Culture/Freedom and I'm proud of mine.

To me, Lakim Shabazz was the first to be talking about Muslim and the 5% nation. Then came Poor Righteous Teachers and Brand Nubians, and so on.

Many of you know I promised a Hip Hop & Islam piece at the end of the Christian Rap: Hip Hop's Dirtiest Word piece. That episode is in progress and includes conversations with different MCs of different sects discussing the topic. This conversation with Planet Asia was pivotal for a number of reasons. We also talk about Jay Electronica's A Written Testimony.

Thanks, Justin for this interview! Planet Asia was magnificent in how he broke the science down and was very accessible in his explanations. This was a stellar interview! Planet Asia represents the continuation of rhyming mastery where he is cut from the original cloth ("High End Cloths") that praise originality, skills, and concepts over popularity, chart position, and first-week sales. This is definitely a must-watch for anyone truly in love with, or interested in, Hip-Hop.

The Fact that the God in the Visionary shirt was pretty much quiet the whole interview takes a lot of discipline and spirit to be at a higher frequency vibration 🧘

A wise man knows SELF enough to know he can't buy Wisdom. Understanding is priceless enough to constantly seek what No One can give. Wisdom is given liberally to all that perceive their living. Sometimes knowledge ain't power for everyone. Sometimes we can know too much for the time but aren't wise enough to wield that knowledge. Wisdom teaches this. Attempting to Overstand by standing under SELF. Awsome content Fam.
