Definitely is Horrendous. Not to make it sound like a cliche' But, I think this negativity is part of the recipe for (As you pointed out) Motivation, and to show the world that we as a society, can still make it out of the, "Pit of Fire breathin' " negative comments like these. What I am trying to say is, I am glad we live in a world where everything we say and do online, is there forever. So that we can reflect on what we say, and have said and TRY to learn from it. If, we don't?It is still there for post generations to see, and hopefully make a Change.

Garrick Ace Garcia it’s only because black people are oppressed and underrepresented in main stream media and pop culture and if they are being represented it is usually a negative/oppressing stereo type... their is an idiom “black is beautiful” and that is the truth! There are so many drop dead gorgeous African men and woman, were just never given the opportunity to shine, because once we do, immediately the Caucasian/European/Anglo-Saxon idol is outshined and loses its luster, eastern/Africa/indo-asian beauties is much more interesting and eye catching... the white man knows his faults and that was his advantage, he knew he was lesser(white man)before the greater(African) knew there was even a competition for world power, that’s what the entire human history was... everything we know of modern civilization comes from Africa(government,religion,education, medicine, music,art,dance,culture,legacy,architecture,hierarchies,etc) all of this comes from Egypt and was started by African royalty... as others saw the lifestyle and luxury that the pharaohs lived, they attempted to recreate that for themselves, and that is when you get all of the ancient wars between empires/nations/countries...then king tut was the last of the pharaohs bloodline and the Egyptian military took over power which ended the dynasty and that is when the alliances with the Greeks happened and then Italy/Rome which then evolved into the British royalty and that is when the white man claimed to be the superior ‘race’ and eliminated all previous knowledge of the original inventors and master minds behind the codes of the system which we still use today, and that is the BLACK MAN...

Cameron taylor im agree to that because for the last century, white is more dominant in terms of power, beauty, and etc. The world is changing and most of the stereotypes are getting changing for most of the people right now. We believe that its on the person's perspective on how you define beauty. We cannot change their perspective base on what they want. The only thing we have is to accept what we are and we must be proud of it. Because everything is a perfect masterpiece that was created to be like the image of God. 👍👍👍

The thing I loved about the whole story of her winning is not the natural hair not because she's black but rather it's that she changed the mold. Instead of beauty being one specific thing she came in and said "NO! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!" You go girl! And to hear five black women won major beauty pageants really made me feel hopeful as a black person myself. They need to keep doing what they doing and that goes for everyone in any industry. Don't be afraid to break the mold.

Not to see this as a competition but in South Africa there are thousands of women killed each year and the government has only begun to at least take notice. Whereas in France 100 women were killed this year and it is seen as a femicide crisis. It is incredible to see the response from France to this crisis. As a guy I have learnt so much this year about what women have to go through in SA and the issues they face. So many sexist jokes and comments made in my boys-only school, which may eventually result in gender based violence. But I can say it has gotten muuch better and the awareness has sincerely reached us
@cravidana1182
@cravidana1182 4 жыл бұрын
@@SJokes I agree with you. I've started learning more about SA after reading Born a Crime. And it's a very unfair society. I feel like they face the same problem as the rest of the world, but in a much worse way. There's racism, sexism, misogyny, violence and crime, homophobia, xenophobia, inequality, etc, but in a much worse way than what we might encounter in another country (even if there's always somewhere worse (India for instance). Since the beginning of the year, there has been at least 122 victims of femicide in France. And there isn't real response from the government. But recently, things are moving (after a lot of protesting). We are trying to replicate a Spanish system that actually has shown amazing results when it comes to femicide and gender based violence. The government is complaining about the costs but they are going to implement as of the next year. In my country, there's also this kind of problem. But I don't see the government of my country actually working to find solutions. You know, I come from Africa. They are too busy robbing their own people. There are people starving, dying, committing crimes, women getting beaten by their man every day, but the government is deaf. At least in France, they are doing something. And I hope that one day, our respective countries will take a good turn and start protecting its people.

I could listen to them converse all day. She speaks so purposefully and authentically that one cannot help but be inspired and captured in the moment.

I was just thinking that. People commenting and acting like they are down for her winning, but no one is trying to put them together. And THAT’S the problem! If she was lighter skinned that’s all the comments would’ve been about. Even with the title “Ms. Universe” she still can’t be a successful black man’s wife. The gag is that she will probably snag a billionaire who isn’t “black” and no one will say anything. That’s the norm. It’s like when will BM wake up and ask themselves...”so she’s too dark for me to date but just right for my white boss?” I can’t wait til they get THAT epiphany!

she is humble, she doesnt look like the typical beautiful girl like what we used to see from miss universe and most importantly she represent true beauty

She went from being a downgrade to being the longest reigning miss Universe in the history of the competition. She is a very smart and beautiful woman. 👑👑👑

She seems clever and deserving. Any person that think women of color can't be pretty isn't only racist and ignorant, they've missed out on Grace Jones completely. As a white kid she made me realize that beauty exists in every shape or hue.
