I dub 1984-1992 the Golden Age of Michael Jackson, cuz he was at the peak of his career . Thriller was the biggest selling album ever, Bad was the most anticipated album ever, and Dangerous was the most expensive and fastest selling album at that point. Even tho there were pesky tabloids, the furthest they did was just call MJ weird and odd. As soon as we hit 1993, the Dark Age begins

I would say MJ’s golden era began in 1983 into summer of 1993. It was a good 10 year solid run even with all the snarky petty tabloid news. But the S really hit the fan in late summer into early fall of 1993 !!! Sadly the backlash & the hatred & the venom that was Unleashed towards poor MJ was the kind we never witness in living memory !!! It was heartbreaking & cruel to treat man like a criminal when wasn’t even Formally charged with any crime. But I have always believed in MJ innocence & always will. MJ was a beautiful pure soul !!! I will love him forever !!!

1979-1984 was his Coming of Age era, in my opinion. 1993-1997 was actually pretty good even with the allegations. History was a pretty good album, and the tour outsold Bad’s Tour I think.

To me this was his greatest year spiritually. This was the end of his pursuit to try and out do Thriller. He was long behind the days of trying to isolate his career from The Jackson 5. He was in his prime to just be creative. Dangerous to me was his most spiritually free body of work from the album, to the videos, to the tour, they all were magnificent. He was able to bask in all of his success and just be free to pursue all of his life dreams with no pressure. He broke free, and was at a level many artists WISHED they could achieve. He was at an all time high. Let’s also talk about the marketing roll out campaign as well just superb. He has the entire world on edge for a year straight. Right before the accusations 🥲.

So dw the ending of this all will be amazing ❤️ He woke me up and I learn new things from him everyday. Trust me he has done that successfully as he woke me and many others up he was very naturally spiritually and he completed his tasks greatly. The bigger picture of this all is for the best and it will be amazing in the end. :) His message is becoming more and more prevalent during these times.

@shan Too true, I remember certain press pics looking shocking and my younger self looking at them like I was regarding an interplanetary being. As a kid I thought MJ was all kinds of crazy, thanks to the slanderous press, but thanks to the information highway, we now know that he was a normal down to earth guy navigating the pressures of fame.

@@jaajaarogers9101 He was mentally scarred by racism and his father's comments about his appearance(his big nose, acne, darker complexion as he got older...etc) also he had witnessed racism, his mother was once told "go back to africa" by a white man in their neighborhood and his brothers were constantly stopped by police for driving nice cars. He still wanted to make the world a better place through kindness.

The one thing I absolutely love about these videos is that they show everything! not just the positive and good things but also all the inner demons that surrounded him… it truly gives you a good perspective as to what it was like to be in those times! I genuinely Feel like I’m traveling through time knowing everything that we know now to this point it’s just fascinating how humans are to each other

Dangerous ERA was never ever underrated. It was a #1 album in the Country for like 4 weeks. Black OR White spent 7 weeks at #1 on the US charts, it’s the most viewed music video ever when it first came out.

My mum was at the show in London he cancelled at the last minute. Apparently when his security came on stage to tell everyone he couldn’t make it they thought it was just a joke. My mum didn’t get tickets for the rescheduled concert and she now regrets it.

I was at the London Wembley July 31st and Leeds Roundhay Park 16th August 1992 Concerts. The hype, atmosphere, sound was electrifying at both. No other person/artist cannot even come close and never will imo.

92 was my best year. Finished exams and had summer to just stand outside the dorchester annoying the man or sleeping on the turnstiles of wembley to make sure I was near the front.

@@wilmmerwest3876 I was lucky enough to see all the dangerous uk shows. Though my friends did a lot more in europe. Dangerous was by far the most exciting for me as I saw bad once but was miles at the back. Dangerous after the 1st night we slept overnight on the steps to make sure we were front. 31st was the best Wembley show as the temperature was a brilliant summer day and it was my first time front row. I was 3rd the night before. The same the rest but the weather turned bad. Also did the same for history but because we had wristbands we could stay outside the hotel. Not that there was much point as he didn't really play at the windows because a main road was between the fans and hotel.

@@wilmmerwest3876 History he only did 3 nights at wembley. I'm gonna be honest it didn't have the same impact as dangerous. There was a barrier which divided the crowd to avoid crushing. But at wembley after a couple hundred got through they closed it. So whilst yes were at the front the excitement of the crowd was behind the barrier behind us. And Michael definitely didn't like that. So many time you could see him looking at huge empty gaps thinking wtf?

1992 is been outstanding year for Michael. Dangerous Tour is outstanding and his short films is a masterpiece. I remember I watch on VH1 back then after he did the HBO during Bucharest concert. Michael is genius. I'm glad I still got Dangerous short films and Dangerous Tour DVD.I can watch it all the time. Earlier 1991-1992 is been the best.

What is so exceptional about The Detail about Michael Jackson is that their videos feel objective, it is not just about showing only all the positive sides of Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson was still human. Many videos are just showing only the positive or only the negative but the Detail is just telling the whole story and that is nice.

Damn I bet that was incredible. I was 7, dangerous was the album that really get into Michael's music since i wasn't alive for thriller and too young for Bad to make an impact. I love all his albums now, but Dangerous is special for me

Strange how the media stories about him just kept getting worse and worse after he signed with Sony and aquired a publishing catalogue valued at almost one billion dollars. When a star became a superstar, or in any way became a threat to the music industry and it's executives, (like Michael Jackson, Janet, Whitney, George Michael, Mariah Carey, and Britney Spears), they seemed to get a relentless onslaught of scandals, humiliations, arrests, and under-promoted albums that only stopped after their loss of credibility, negotiating power, sobriety, sanity, or life.

14:36 A smile that reflects a pure genuine soul ♥ 1992 was a very distinctive year in Michael career. That's actually the year I've became a fan too. Was still playing Moonwalker on Sega, Remember the time BTS was playing on heavy rotation on MTV and I was mesmerized by Naomi Campbell's beauty in ITC video. Won't even talk about the bullying. What a disgrace. Thank you for putting together this video. The transition, the sounds, the effects, the content, you did a great work as usual! It had such a nostalgic, almost bittersweet taste, but it brought back so many memories. You translated well the whole aura of that year. Again, thanks for your work. Michael was a blessing to this earth, his work, his life and legacy shouldn't go unnoticed by the next generation.

1992... yes, I was there at the Dangerous show in Stockholm. Also around this time MC Hammer and Bobby Brown were supposed to be the new Michael Jackson 😄😄 I always felt that this was a tough era for Michael, despite all his success he seemed very sad most of the time. It was far from the happy joyful and energetic Bad era.

Michael wasn’t always happy in the Bad era though. Despite the success of the Bad tour, he was dealing with anorexia and felt really lonely. He said it on the tapes. I actually think he looked way more happy in the beginning of the Dangerous era before the allegations than during the Bad era. He seemed way more relaxed and he wasn’t trying to outsold himself anymore. Just making music and acting you know. His prime was gone and he was just riding on the waves of his success. Don’t get me wrong, he was happy on the Bad Tour ON STAGE: but I think it was different off stage.. and anyways Michael just always seemed sad overall. Too much happened to him :(

@@bibibobo8723Having been shocked at how skinny he was since I saw his Disney special in about 1980/81 when I was 5, and now knowing he would stop eating and have to go into the hospital, I’ve always been shocked that then and now people almost never bring up the fact that he had anorexia. I’ve been shocked to constantly see the look of it constantly in the videos on YouTibe and yet you almost never saw him looking anorexically skinny in the things the media chose to show on tv. I don’t know why they didn’t talk about, considering all the other things they Sacrilegiously talked negatively about like his skin disorder and being abused and exploited as a child

if Michael was to be still alive and in his 30's i'm sure he'd give a lot of help in covid times, be it medication, food, and continue to spread his message of love and hope, you tube will be crashed millions of viewers on MJ's channel in just a matter of a month or two, he'd still be no.1 in people's hearts, he'd still be the top artist and performer do concerts with the bestest technology, others just follow, jealous rivals hate that and will continue to hate

Michael Jackson's Remember The Time music video was brand new when I was born. According to this video, it was released in February 1992, and I was born in March which was 9 days before he filmed the In The Closet video but it wasn't released yet.
