I work as an electrical engineer but things like this are still alien to me. However your videos for all these types of DIY issues are superb! Great tips, easy to follow and great to listen to! I'm looking forward to keep doing these things myself. Superb stuff 👏

No shame. You should see how some actual construction "experts" install tiles. Some don't even know tiles can be drilled through. They break them to pieces, and arrange it in a lame mosaic around pipes and taps. It's disgusting.

thanks for the clip....is a 20mm bit ideal for 15mm pipes going to a thermostatic shower valve? reason I ask is cos Ive seen other say 18mm ....a little bit of play seems better to get the valve level but I am not sure...cheers

If you begin cutting from the back side, you won't need the guide, although it's still useful. Also, some drills have a piece of sponge inside, so you don't need to dip them.
