Malaysian here, I remember a story that my father told me when I was young and really wanted to involve in Football. According to him, he was present during one of Perak's infamous match fixing matches and it was really funny, my dad being a Perakian thought he should made the hour drive to go to Ipoh stadium and watch the match. So this is what happen, during the first ten minute the Perak's player just chase whoever have the ball without making a tackle, and when they do have the ball they just kick the ball so hard it is almost a shooting attempt. The first goal was scored when a Perak's defender tried to pass the ball back to the keeper but he end up just letting it in. When they start after the goal they just immediately clear the ball for no reason except to tell everyone this match is fix. And when the opposition have the ball they just chase the guy with the ball, this is not proper pressure either, they just chase without putting any thought to it. When the whistle blow for the stop of the first half, my father had enough and fuck off with his brother. According to him, the way the player throw away the game was so blatant. People played in the village have more wit and passion than those professionals.

The sad story of Malaysian football. The footballing world forgot that the Malayan Tigers was an Asian footballing giant in the late 1950s to the early 1980s. Is the Anfield thing a secret? You search Anfield on wikipedia and it says Everton were there from 1884-1892... You actually have to search quite some timefor the other secrets.
