Being one who lost my husband when he was 47, my mom when she was 48. I can say the pain of loss and finality dulls. But every so often the damn breaks and I am emotional. Everyone is different but that was me. I gardened during that years following my mom’s death. Seeing things grow instead of whither was therapeutic. After my husband I learned to make candles and soap and threw myself into it. He would have had a fit, lol he hated my crafts. I am going to buy the book, I bought the other one you suggested before. ((Hugs)) death is horrible and everyone heals their own way. But it’s not easy. ❤️

Watching your videos always gives me a lift, thanks so much! You are a beautiful human being. I find it really difficult to not judge people mainly myself. I appreciate the reminder to let folks be and accept them for who they are. We all grieve at one time or another, life would be really boring without it's ups and downs. My main goal is to live in the moment and appreciate what I have now because you don't know what the future holds for you. And to learn from life and each other! Blessings to you!

Such a beautiful soap! I found the book you shared with us here in the US for about $32.00, it's on it's way to me, thank you. Grief is so different for each of us, it takes time. It's definitely a day by day thing and it's ok to cry! My sweet mother has been gone for 21 years and I still have days that I cry and that is alright. I love your videos and especially your authenticity. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us.

The soap turned out great! Love the soft colors with the line of cocoa and swirl on top. Well done! I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. Sending hugs from across the ocean. Losing a loved one is truly the toughest thing to go through in life. Realizing that person is gone forever, not coming back is heartbreaking. I lost my dear husband about 5 1/2 years ago. It’s shocking to think how much time has passed. I’m a soapmaker as well and I found making soap was a big help in those early days. You get immersed in the process doing something you love, and can forget about everything else for a little bit. I also watch a lot of soap videos too. Take care. I love your videos.

Beautiful soap, lovely tribute to your sister. I lost a baby 33 years ago, and my nephew 2 years ago, sadness lessons, you'll have more happy memories later, oddly about a month ago, I cried about my baby, hadn't done that for years... Blessings to you always.

I’ve only just found you and love your honesty and your videos. My sister died 10 years ago and she was 37 and I was 47. We found out she had cancer 18 months before she died and I thought that I would have come to terms with her passing when the time came but I have never really come to terms with it. I have learned to accept she’s gone and I’m happy again but I still miss her every day and talk to her often. Life isn’t the same but it gets easier with time. I wish you love and happiness and I think your sister would be so proud of you! Thanks for sharing x

Hi Tiggy. I haven't been in touch in a long time but I feel compelled to write after seeing this video, and your previous one about the loss of your sister. I am so glad you decided to speak up and share about your struggle. I think that sharing about difficult things breaks down the walls that we, as a society, have set up for ourselves. I recently suffered a miscarriage and felt the need to share with my friends and family, as opposed to hiding it. "They" tell you to wait until the second trimester to announce a pregnancy because "what if something goes wrong?" I asked myself "what if something does go wrong? I will need support then." So when the worst did happen and I lost the pregnancy, I spoke up to many and instead of saying everything was fine and hiding my pain, I simply said that I had a miscarriage and was going through a hard time. I was shocked by everyone's reaction, truly. Every single person had a story to share - they had gone through a miscarriage or infertility struggle, their wife had one, their mom had one that affected them, etc. It was amazing. By speaking up about this topic that is so often hidden from sight, not only did I get so much support from others, but also I allowed them to tell their story and feel support too. It really comforted me in my decision to share and not just suffer alone in silence. Thank you for sharing your human experience. Anything that allows us as people to connect more deeply is a good thing, in my opinion. All my best wishes to you. xoxo Aurélie in Finland

It's been 5 years since we lost my Dad and there are still times I find myself unable to hold back the tears. Usually it's because of something silly that reminds me of him, like his favourite chocolate bar. Just let yourself feel what you're feeling. Onto the soap. It's beautiful. You call it rustic, but to me it looks sophisticated. But than, I usually make hot process soap because I'm too impatient. I'd love to see you make a new version of Herbaceous. One that's in keeping with your current style.

I know it’s too late for you now but for anyone else putting the finishing strip on the side of a counter top or drawers etc...it is usually an iron on product, you simply iron it on and the glue on the back of the strip heats up and bonds the strip on.....I’ve never seen a finishing strip that isn’t iron on but there may be some out there...

I am 34 years old. My dad has never been a part of my life. I lost my mom in 1996, my stepdad in 2000, my grandma who raised me in 2008, my nephew in 2010, my great grandpa in 2011, my brother in 2017, and my father in law (who i was caretaker to) last month. Not to mention other aunts and uncles throughout those years. This past weekend my grandpa (the only immediate family I have left) had a pretty severe heart attack, but luckily is still with us. Since my brother passed I have had severe anxiety about my grandpa and when he might pass. Needless to say I have been trying to lose myself in soapmaking. I am so very sorry for your loss. That's horrible. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, and I hope you are ok! I guess with grief it's all just part of the process, life in all it's unimaginable glory, all the twists & turns, the curve balls and everything in between. It never ceases to amaze me yanno? I'm thankful for it all, even the bad parts because we all have to grow. Thanks so much for being so kind and thoughtful. It really is appreciated xxx

You are an inspiration to everyone showing life must go on after any sad loss. I looked up the book you used, I found it on amazon for £66.87 haha, I don't think I'll get that one! Anyway, sending loads of love light and Angel blessing your way, the pain will ease, allow your feeling flow, take care angel xx

Hi Tiggy, I'm not sure how I missed this video, thought I was on top of it, your title caught my eye this evening about the holy water and I was like is this woman making holy water for her soaps? I'm sorry for your loss of your sister, it's been over a year now and I hope you're doing better. I wanted to ask you if you know how to make holy water? Years ago, a gentleman asked to to come closer to him and he asked me if I knew how to make holy water, of course I told him no, he whispered and said, it's really easy to do. First, you must fill a pot with water, put it on the stove and then you boil the hell out of it. :) Keep up the videos!

I mean this in a positive way, but the grief and loss becomes apart of you. I try to keep mine as a badge of honor sort of. It is a special thing, only belonging to you. What temp do you soap, it's so fluid for a steep water discount? Hugs

I don't think anyone expects you to write to all the comments as your grieving. I still cry for my Mum and its been 2 and a half years. Beautiful soap with so much meaning, and natural clays are beautiful on the skin. The collection of Essential oils sounds amazing. On the top half in the kaolin clay half there are brown marks on the outside of the soap, what would that be??
