In early 90's it was groundbreaking and totally unthinkable instrumentals from ARR. People went bonkers when listening for the first time then. You can react to the whole album as it was one of the best compositions of ARR.

For me, this whole album is Rehman's best work till date. All songs are unique . Thee thee has such a gentle core..where as rasathi is an acaoella wonder... Chandralekha is magnanimous , and this one has such beautiful western confluence... It was way way ahead of its time....

This is during the start of Rahman era. You can clearly see the western notes and some digital sound mixing on one side while the choreographer is struggling to keep up with the new style of music on the otherside.

This is my favourite ARR hits of all. Still remember this movie watching in VCR akai cassette deck with 30 members of family in large NELCO CRT TV on friday evening. I feel this album is favourite for ARR too.

One of the best albums of ARR for sure....'Thee', 'Rasathi', 'Putham pudhu bhoomi', 'Chandralrkha', 'Veera pandi' each unique and all excellent in their own sense...BTW, the music quality on that was poor i felt, please use the mastered projects high quality audio versions when you want to have a listen in youtube...

The whole audio album is awesome and one of the best of AR Rahman, but the video distracts u with bad acting, and bad dancers..as if struggling to dance, and feels like a school annual day program of kids.. It doesnt do justice to the song.
