People using slip roads also need to understand that they don't need to join the carriageway 12mm after the chevrons end. Use the entire slip road to get up to speed and match traffic before you merge.

That section of the A3 at Guildford needs re-working. There's always tonnes of people coming onto the A3 there, and then off at the next junction. It really needs redeveloping!

The M6 junction 10a for Telford and Shrewsbury, that 99% of the time is to be used as a live lane during traffic, they are probably a local who knows in less than 1 minute that it will become a pecked line like it does at 10:00 when they are entitled to enter it. Obviously doesn't excuse the big red X, local or not.

As they more likely to crash into you or escalate a situation.Hard though, when Sometimes you surrounded by them. Love watching your videos Although when you say you are overtaking, you are not overtaiking 100% of the time on the motorways if there is space to move back to the left you really should be and only using the middle and right lane when needed to overtake. Not holding the lane because a car god knows how many metres infront of you is going slower and you will eventually overtake them. It may just be that they are using the next junction and you wont overtake them before hand and now you have used the middle lane for countless miles or minuets because you was going 2-5 MPH faster and thought you would overtake them. Not saying your wrong just saying that those saying you are not overtaking are not wrong either, really is just preception and reading your suroundings. Keep up the good work :)

Towards the end of the video, you're up in my neck of the woods, up in the midlands, I know that stretch of the M6 (not very smart) motorway very well, and to be honest I think it's dangerous, what you witnessed with the moron on the hard shoulder is all too common around here, that stretch of motorway is very busy and opening the hard shoulder to traffic is dangerous at best, when it's closed to traffic idiots like the one you've just met need a nice expensive ticket off PC plod, but you rarely see the police along that stretch of motorway. Anyway, this just goes to prove it's not just the London area who have the monopoly on idiot drivers, we've got our fair share of idiots as well, if you feel you're short of idiot drivers in London please feel free to have some of ours we don't want them.

Not enough motorway driving in the driving test?

Tricky one for the 2:58 car. Slowed down to let the two accelerate safely onto the slip road but the 4x4 slows down too. The car on the main road did the right thing by slowing down further I think. If they accelerated the 4x4 would probably just come over and crash into them

@The London Dash Cam. I use that section of the M6 onto the M54 quite frequently and I have no doubt that driver does too, it`s not very often that the HS is closed to vehicles wanting the M54 slip-road. You know doubt noticed that the road markings changed from solid to dotted white lines for the commencement of the slip-road not long after him driving onto the HS, quite a number of others also do the same. I have to admit that it was unusual not to see the entire length of HS not having the "Red-Cross" signals over it, so I can only think that after the driver had passed the last signal and seeing no others he wrongly believed that the HS was open to M54 traffic access.

2:40 ppl need to learn that "he was clearly indicating" means fuck all in reality. the only thing that really matters is not crashing, ppl who assume your indicator has even been seen might eb some of the most annoying drivers there are. like yes ok, you turned on a small yellow light, you still dont get to simply ram into a car

If there's almost a full minute between your overtakes, you should really be moving back into the left lane... I appreciate that nobody really does and perhaps (technically) you weren't really lane hogging, and that sometimes you can then get "stuck" in the left lane, but this is what causes congestion on motorways

I notice the bag heads are here, at least one, so far who pick a minute fault, if a fault, by your driving, lane hogging, supposedly, The people are guilty of bad driving, inconsiderate driving and lash out the only way their tiny minds can.

yeah, it doesn't look like you were lane hogging as there was a 3rd lane on the outside. There was a junction coming up too so you don't really want to be joining lane 1 from lane 2 if there's cars trying to emerge as it increases the risk. I think using front and rear camera together is useful to see the bigger picture. Often if nothing is coming up behind me and theres lots of cars in lane 2 or a few and a lorry that they might wanna overtake, I'll move from 2 to 3 to give them the space to help an emerge or overtake the lorry so the traffic in general flows better. people have these wierd ideas about an amount of time but it isn't that straightforward, it's more about the overall picture of what all the vehicles all round are doing. I don't agree with repremands and they would be seen as a more serious offence than if someone was actually lane hogging. Theres a chance that was a new driver with lack of experience having a panic about not getting their junction, it is always best to assume the most positive likely outcome. Or better still, just let it go. Remember, idiots are easily wound up or triggered. Good drivers turn it into a non-event

The scroats on their little scooters or small bikes, I'd be tempted to accidentally swerve towards them, forcing them to veer. Maybe one or two will clip the kerb and go flying in their shorts and balaclavas. I doubt they'd report it.

Dash cams are very useful when an accident occurs. However, using them to point out the most trivial mistakes, just makes the poster look like a drama queen. Also, your suggestion that you were overtaking, is way off the mark. Those without sin, cast the first stone.

Wow, making so many assumptions, even suggesting ages, as if that is an impediment? It is so easy to criticise and having completed defensive and advanced driving I still have made mistakes however, I thought the driving was by and large pretty good.
