Being a caregiver is also another GREAT side hustle for nurses! I’m a NICU nurse like you too, and a nanny on the side. Senior care, nannying, special needs care, etc. are all great ideas for nurses because people are looking for our qualifications and experience! :)

I hope you get in as well! I am going to CC as well this fall but I have to do pre reqs first, how long do I have to do my pre reqs till I’m able to get into their nursing program?

@@Niptucka Thanks! 🙏🏼 I actually got my acceptance letter last month, and will be starting this Fall. I'm very excited! I think it takes about 4 semesters to complete your prerequisites. To get a better idea on how much time and what classes you'll need to take per semester, you may need to check with your college's course sequence for both Pre-Clinical and Clinical phases. Hope this helps!

Hi ladies, I’m a mother of 4 (5 & under). A Full Time Trauma Surgical Icu Travel Nurse and I homeschool the two oldest. There are many ways to use your degree even as a stay at home mom like case manager (remote) or even chart audits and triage. Good luck on your journey ❤️

I would suggest an OBGYN office I currently just graduated in May with my RN and I got a job in Labor and Delivery. I worked 5 years prior as an LPN in OBGYN and Pediatric offices.

RN-BSN. And then you choose what specialty you want to get into. You need floor experience before you’d be considered for any ICU

I want to be a NICU nurse as well and I start my nursing classes in august and I’ve seen nurses start out as new grads in the NICU. Tatianna J has a channel and she started as a new grad in the NICU.

@@tiaremalu7394 during nursing school or summer break work as a tech in a nicu or icu or any mother-baby floor. try to land an internship if you can. when searching for schools ask about academic internships
