David Wallace was such a good side character. I don't think Buckley gets enough credit for how insanely well he played the role. When he's on screen, it brings the show back down to Earth and makes you feel like Dunder Mifflin is a real business, which I think was very important for the show.

Squiggy I think the only reason why David Wallace put up with them was that first of all, Dwight had an amazing sales record. Second of all, the Scranton branch overall was doing pretty good in sales so David Wallace probably got the impression that Micheal was the reason why and that he was doing something right. That’s why in season 5 episode 12, “The Duel,” Micheal was called in because his branch was reporting strong sales numbers while all the branches were struggling.

David Wallace is hands down the most wholesome person on this show. Seems to be a great father and husband. His wife's concern for him when he lost his job seems pure. A great boss. Always so patient, especially to someone like Michael lol. He's the one who really paid much attention to Jim's potential to be more than a salesman. Capable of admitting his mistake (said sorry to Dwight personally when it turns out that the golden ticket idea was a good one). Has a good relationship with his subordinates. I love him the most when he joined Scranton's auction and even bid for Phillys' hug. Not to mention so handsome lol.

"The Office" was his second job. He was a full-time stockbroker with Merrill Lynch, one of the largest financial institutions in the world. While shooting the scene where he's buying out the Michael Scott Paper Co., was the weekend that Wall Street was collapsing, leading to the Great Recession. In between shots, he was on the phone with deep-pocket investors, trying to assure them that Merrill Lynch wasn't about to go under. Talk about going from fantasy to real life, that must have been a crazy day for him.

David is my favorite character. He gets Michael. He knows he can't be defeated and runs the most profitable branch. After he defeated Charles Miner, we all realized just how unstoppable he was. Wallace just lets him do whatever, knowing it will work somehow. Besides that, he's the perfect actor to play a CFO. His character wasn't incompetent and he wasn't corrupt.

the scenes with Wallace are always the most awkward ones by far. because he is the only one in the entire series that isnt "a character". hes like a real human being. and when you make him interact with these caricatures they clash so hard. even people who dont take kindly to Michael's nonsense, they do it in an exaggerated comedic way...but wallace always conducts himself like a real person (in a world comprised of nothing but cartoonish buffoons would)

David is one of the most low key hilarious characters in any series. One of the most underrated on the office

One of the most patient men on the show. Michael’s methods and business decisions were usually quite unorthodox but David always saw past that because it usually got good results. He seemed to like Michael as a person so he always gave him the benefit of the doubt.

It’s funny to me that so many of David’s best scenes are him talking on the phone to Michael, and David isn’t even on screen but he’s still amazing.
