I'm really glad that you reacted to Led Zeppelin. They are ultra talented musicians, and are considered one of the all time best rock bands. They are known for great song construction, great guitar riffs and drum solo's, fantastic vocals, and a whole lot of great performances. Based on your reaction, I would recommend reacting to Since I've Been Loving You live at MSG, 1973 official video, and their song Kashmir live at Knebworth 1979 official video. Great to watch live, but Led Zeppelin's studio performances are richer musically. They are the quintessential blues-inspired rock band. Most of their best work appears on their earlier albums, with albums I, II and IV being their best imo. Insanely good musicianship. Their entrance to the late 60's, early 70's music scene was like a supernova going off. That was a musical period when many top-tier bands entered the scene so several peers were outstanding as well, but nobody was better. Their power, energy, emotion and masterful musicianship in combination is unmatched. Universally regarded as one of the best bands in music recording history, if not at the very top.

I love seeing this group discovered all over again. First time I saw them was at an amusement park called pirates world outside Miami. They had an outdoor for concerts. I think the tickets to see them was about three dollars. Those were the days.❤

Headphones are mandatory for Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, RUSH and Yes etc... LZ is my all-time favorite band so I'll be here for it as a new sub. I would suggest "When the levee breaks" which is a cover of a song from 1929 about the flood of Mississippi in 1927. The drum intro is legendary and Robert (singer) on Harmonica is amazing. A true BLUES song! PS - speaking of blues you will want to watch Stevie Ray Vaughn doing Texas Flood at El Macambo live. If you ever heard of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil for becoming a guitar legend well I'd put this performance up against the devil himself! GOAT - you won't believe how he plays or how it makes you feel.

Zep was the pinnacle of rock evolution. Four guys at the top of the heap. Robert Plant on lead vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, John Paul Jones on bass and occasionally keyboards, and John Bonham (RIP) on drums. Each one absolutely belonged there. They have a deep catalog to explore, but I would recommend their earlier, bluesier stuff - When The Levee Breaks, The Lemon Song, Heartbreaker, etc.

All the great British bands of this era were totally immersed in the catalog of our American Black Blues Masters. I call ‘em ABBM’s. This song was derived from blues god, Willie Dixon- even the words. ❤ keep going! You’re so much fun to watch.

Insightful comments. It is art. The most primal guitar riff in all Rockdom. This is what happens when musicians from Celtic ancestry, with all its musicality, meet African American blues rhythms, lyrics and electric guitars. This confluence of musical influences happened for the first time in the 60s. No Quarter and the Battle of Evermore are more mystical. Worth a video reaction.

Used to use this track to test stereo speakers back in the day, from the original vinyl. If you could crank it up without distortion on the bass end you had good speakers. And if you could hear all the cross panning in the mix your turntable, stereo needle and system was working as intended. Studio did a great job of left right panning in this mix at various key points in the song. Working on the old analog systems that effect was played with quite a bit on rock albums for awhile. Kind of similar to what a Leslie rotor amp does with the sound of a Hammond organ. Today you can get the same effect with almost any DAW on your home computer as long as the tracks are separate. These days when doing the mixdown digitally it is very common to "place" the instruments and voices at various positions left to right with the stereo panning FX so as to separate them out and fill out the music while at the same time making each clearer in the mix. But you can do that same back and forth panning left to right which gives that neat effect especially in the headphones.

I could do a one evening lecture at the local community college on this one song. That's how much is going on there. In terms of changing the course of music, I think this song did as much as I Wanna Hold Your Hand ten years earlier. It's on that level.

this video is a compilation of snippetts from various videos across time.......try watching one of their LIVE videos, esp from Madision Sq Gardens, to get a better feel for the performance of each member, and their Live performances were far different than studio recordings....they were RENOWNED for their Live SHOWS.....
